1 SCOPE
The scope of this Handbook is to provide a list of the software installation applicable to the AW169
helicopter fleet. The handbook will also describe the Software package identification logic.

2 APPLICABILITY
This Handbook is applicable to all AW169 helicopter.

5 SOFTWARE RELEASE
5.1 Software package identification logic
The software package is identified by a numeric code, whose digits comply with the following
rules:
− The first digit denotes the Software Phase. It identifies the software packages which have
impact on the limitations of the RFM.

− The second digit denotes a change that affects the RFM only, but it does not affect the
limitations (e.g. replacements due to hardware obsolescence). This also applies to changes
affecting the emergency procedures.

− A third digit, not shown to the customer, may be used to indicate software updates that fix
bugs which do not affect the RFM. This information is transparent to the flight crew.

These rules will be fully applicable from the software Phase 3.0 onwards.
