B. INSIGHTS (What new insights or learning did you gain from the topic?)

1. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that immigrants
and refugees are the same thing.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
immigrant is someone who chooses to resettle to another country. While, refugee is
someone who has been forced to leave their home.

2. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that

people migrate just to achieve their desires by bringing opportunities to them and
enhancing their productivity.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
people migrate for a variety of reasons, including safety, natural disaster, political
conflict, education, family, career and for economic betterment.  

3. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that

global migration has a fair effect in different countries. 
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
global migration tends to be unfair in some countries, but for those living in western
countries such as America and Europe it might be a blessing since they have their
source to help them deal with migration, but for countries that are striving in their
progress like Philippines and India it is not a blessing.
