 In space there are problems of dispersion, solubility,
absorption, availability at tissue level, metabolism and
excretion of drugs including problems of recycling and
disposal. Thus it is obvious that the use of
conventional medicine in space will be greatly
restricted due to the above factors.

The concept of ultra-diluted medicines is known since

time immemorial starting from ancient medical texts of
China and India dated about 3000 BC, Hippocrates –
400 BC, Paraselsus and Hahnemann – about five and
two centuries ago, respectively.
These medicines are almost always free from any side-
effects and are easily administrable.

These medicines are prepared after serial dilution beyond

the micro-level of different plant extracts and minerals.

Structural and functional integrity of a

Inside the lunar settlement a room may be dedicated for
storage of medicines and providing treatment facilities to
lunar inhabitants, both tourist and long term stay personnel,
preferably in the middle part of the atrium. Facilities may be
provided for direct communication to earth control station
for consultation and special opinion to be taken from
experts present in the earth station.
In the earth station, a similar area may be dedicated where
some experts would be there to give advice and to solve any
medical crisis which may happen in the lunar settlement.
Routine medicines may be taken by the astronauts in the
space craft during mission and any medical crisis may be
solved as mentioned above.
Explore future prospects of ultra-diluted medicines
in lunar settlements and during travel
through the lunar terrain

 In future, explorations are to be made in collaboration

with prospective lunar industrialist to manufacture all
required medicines from indigenous materials on the
moon. Research facilities are also to be provided to find
out newer medicines from local sources. Drug trials will
also be done on volunteers, if permitted. Drugs to
improve immunity and prevent infections will also be
developed to protect the population of the lunar colony
from possible infections from microorganisms.
