switches) are not in adaptive mode, the controller enclosures and application
servers must be connected through crossover cables. Otherwise, they may not be
able to communicate with each other.

3.1.2 Logging in to DeviceManager for
check
l  DeviceManager is an integrated storage management software program
developed by Huawei. It has been loaded to a storage system before delivery.

l  You can log in to DeviceManager on any maintenance terminal connected to the


storage system by entering the management network port IP address of the
storage system and the local or domain user name in a browser.

Note: DeviceManager provides Demo. Choose Support > Product Support > IT > Storage > Tools and
Platform > ISM-U to download it.

l  Step 1 Open a web browser on your maintenance terminal.

l  Step 2 In the address box, enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8088


and press Enter.

l  Step 3 (Optional) Select a login mode and language.

l  Step 5 Click Log In.
