5 gamblers arrested for playing 'Mahjong' in Tagbilaran

In Tagbilaran City five ive illegal gamblers playing 'Mahjong' were arrested through a
joint Anti- illegal Gambling operation by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 5
and Tagbilaran City Police Station 1 on March 5, 2020, 2:30 in the afternoon at Purok
Kangkong, Barangay Cogon..

In consonance with the CIDG Flagship project " Oplan Roulette" said joint operation led
to the arrest of Cesare Salise Robredo, 37 years old, Enrico Apatino Pacquiao, 59 years
old, Rafael Albarracin Lacson, 47 years old, Auguste Abaygar Moreno, 46 years old,
and Cesare Pordawin Marcos, 41 years old.

Operatives recovered a set of playing Mahjong tiles, two pieces dice, a mah-jong table
and cash proceeds amounting to P 2,500 in different denominations.

Suspects will face charges in under PD 1602 prescribing stiffer penalties against illegal
Gambling.
