Praise be to Allah Alone, and Praying and peace be upon the one whom there is
no prophet after --- and after: ß “after saluting”
The Committee have seen the Academic Research and Issuing Fatwas reviewed
what was received by His Eminence, the General Mufti of the questioner, Umm
Talha, who was referred to the committee by the General Secretariat of the
Council of Senior Scholars with the number 1709 dated 4/3/1421 AH. The
questionnaire asked a question, the text of which is as follows: It has spread
recently, and after God has blessed us with a good agricultural season, the
phenomenon of buying medium-sized zucchini in very large quantities that
outweighs the need for the house, and this corresponds to men's preoccupation
with sports matches. What is the ruling on that?
After studying the referendum, the committee answered the following: It is not
the guidance of Muslim women over the centuries to resort to the use of these
illegal means which were sent to our women from the pornographic films sent
by the infidels and the enemies of Islam, especially those who went on visits to
the countries of the infidels and got used to some of these customs strange to
Our community,
Knowing that this Zucchini may cause bleeding and lead to sterility, since the
goal of marriage in Islam is child bearing Based on that, it is not permissible to
deal with the zucchini in the mentioned manner, by sale, purchase, or gifting.
What is Halal in these cases is cucumbers and bananas as indicated by the
Sunnah of the Prophet, may God pray upon him and salut him.

To whom issued this stupid, strange fatwa, and to whom sent this fatwa.
I am the third wife of a man who has four wives, and I think it is a problem I do
not say that great part of women suffers from it, but the majority here in Saudi
Arabia.
Knowing that my husband is seventy-eight years old, and he can only do his
marital duties “sex” once a month and sleeps after a week in his sick bed, what
should I do?
The zucchini remains the effective medicine for my condition and the condition
of my sisters in the same house, as the zucchini is often fresh, and its good size,
shape and head correspond to the case of myself and sisters.

Now that the esteemed Fatwa Committee has forbidden it, what should we
do???!!!!
I direct it to your consciences to go back on your decision or to exclude those
in my life, “like in her case”
Knowing that bananas and cucumbers caused me an allergy, and I consulted a
doctor that I know, and she advised me to stay away from cucumbers and
bananas and use this zucchini before it was forbidden.
