 Where Did I Intern?
My internship was at LeRoy Elementary School in Mrs. Shiver’s
Sixth Grade classroom. I would intern Monday-Friday from
11:30-1:50.

What were my roles and responsibilities?

● Make copies of worksheets

● Assist students
● Organize classroom library
● Return papers to students
● Grading
 What Were My Primary Goals?
● To learn more about the teaching profession
● Gain confidence
● Decide if teaching is right for me
● Create connections with the students
 Challenges
● Having a student teacher in the classroom
● Student behavior
● Time to complete projects
● Internship during student lunch and recess
 What Would I Change?
If I could change one thing about my internship experience it would
be teaching more lessons or leading more small groups. I loved teaching
those two lessons in January and I would have liked to teach a few more.

Would you participate in this experience again?

Yes, I enjoyed my internship and would definitely participate again.

 Library Organization

One project I was able to help Mrs. Shivers with was

reorganizing her entire classroom library. We grouped the
books by genre and labeled them by color. This project took a
long time but was satisfying to complete.
Bulletin Board

My second choice

redecorating the bulletin
board at the end of the
hallway.
