started a little vegetable garden in the front yard and devoted
her time and energy, hoping to provide their baby son with

he grew older and stronger, such as removing the weeds, immune
harvesting salad, and digging holes for plants. While Yuming system+decrease
was happy to see him physically active outside instead of asthamaꝸallergies
sitting in front of TV, she was a little nervous about those dirty
little hands covered with soil until she discovered that the
microbes in the soil can build up kids’ immune system and
reduce the risks of asthma and allergies. Stronger muscles,
bones, and immune system all come for free!
3. Yuming’s boy was surprised when mom told him that research▬►child
eggplants, peppers and tomatoes all belonged to the same ren with
plant family even though they do not look similar at all. He also gardening skill
learned that the plants have their own ways of growing and ═good in school
require different conditions. Even for kids who are not subjects
interested in becoming a botanist, they may develop general
interests in science. The garden can be where they learn how
to test the moisture of the soil and investigate why PH value

experiences performed better in science subjects at school
than students who were never involved in gardening.

4. Gardening has benefited Yuming just as much as her boy. As advantage of

a newcomer, she was a stranger in a strange land. However, garden═yuming▬
she got to know her neighbours through gardening, and ►communicate
visitors range from toddlers to seniors. In spring, one stops by with neighbours
and comments on the asparagus. In autumn, kids come to

sheets, upside-down pots, garbage bags and whatever mple═ low
supplies they can find. Then in the summer, another issue temperature▬►
appears. Squirrels come to eat the corn, and deer come to cover the plants
munch on the peas. They searched for an alternative option to
protect their work without using chemicals or other aggressive
methods. After some experiments, they discovered that the
best way is to hang some old CD disks in the garden. Second,
opinions can be changed. Yuming’s husband had concerns of
having a vegetable garden at the front, but eventually he saw
the outcomes a garden can produce and joined the team. He
even designed a rain barrel system that could hold enough
water for the drought period in the summer when it has not
rained for weeks.

6. A few years later, Yuming’s little garden survived, expanded, After few years
and became a unique landmark of the neighbourhood. A ═Yuming garden
teacher brought her classes over for a field trip prior to their remainꝸ expanded
lessons on plants. One family across the street ripped up their
lawn and converted it to a vegetable garden. “You started a Became example
trend,” they said to Yuming. Whether it is a trend or not, for
Yuming does not know, but she knows that she enjoyed neighbourhood
anticipating in spring, sweating in summer, celebrating in
autumn and resting in winter. “We’re living with the rhythm of
the four seasons, and this is the most significant harvest we
achieved in the garden,” she thought.
