with developing their teaching portfolio and that the participant will need to
update their portfolio with any additional teaching experiences in the
remainder of the IPTeC year prior to submitting their final portfolio.

IPTeC Requirements:
Didactic (2 hours): instruction to health professionals and/or health
professional students
Experiential (6 hours): APPE or IPPE rotation teaching through facilitation of or
assessment of learners delivering topic discussions, journal clubs,
presentations, etc. **presenting to a preceptor alone without learners does NOT
count**
Precepting/co-precepting (6 hours): patient care discussions, patient care
activities, project management, etc.

Only 1 more didactic lecture needed, and we discussed some options to fulfill this, most
likely in Fall 2022. Amy also has some other, more advanced teaching experience from
Fall 2021 that could be considered to meet this lecture requirement as an alternative
teaching activity.

The participant has developed a teaching philosophy that is clear, concise, and
reflective. The participant has considered his or her own personal approach to

Amy has completed a full draft of all the content, which I reviewed, and she will be
revising to finalize her portfolio and also transform it into a web-based type format. In
short, the portfolio content has been compiled and she's working on the final touches.
