Please use the following scale to rank the teaching portfolio criteria:
Strongly Agree: Most or all components/characteristics consistent with the caliber of a faculty member; exceeds IPTeC program requirements;
high-quality; well- organized; evidence that the portfolio has been developed and maintained throughout the year; evidence of sustained quality of
teaching and improvement based on feedback; free of typos and grammatical errors
Agree: Some components/characteristics consistent with the caliber of a faculty member; meets IPTeC program requirements; several areas
of improvement noted; some evidence of improvement based on feedback; minor typos and grammatical errors
Disagree: Minimal components/characteristics that are consistent with the caliber of a faculty member; does not meet IPTeC program requirements;
disorganized; significant areas of improvement noted; several typos and grammatical errors
Strongly Disagree: Required components/characteristics absent from portfolio; disorganized; does not meet IPTeC program requirements;
evidence that the portfolio was developed at the last minute; several typos and grammatical errors
This portfolio is exceptional and should be considered for the Nicholas G. Popovich IPTeC Award Yes
The Nicholas G. Popovich Award is given to a resident, fellow, or pharmacist graduate of the IPTeC program who meets several of the following criteria:
1. Develops an exceptional teaching portfolio
2. Possesses characteristics consistent with a future successful faculty member
3. Displays attributes consistent with an effective mentor and preceptor
4. Exudes passion for a career in pharmacy academia
5. Expresses interest in the scholarship of teaching
