Teaching log is provided to document sufficient experiences
including at least 2 hours of lectures/CE programs AND a minimum
of 15 hours of additional teaching-related activities (at least 3 hrs
lab/recitation, 6 hrs precepting, AND 6 hrs leading experiential
discussion topics/journal clubs)
An Updated Curriculum Vitae is provided that adequately reflects the
participant’s teaching experiences
A personal teaching philosophy is provided that is clear, concise, and
well-articulated.
The teaching philosophy summarizes the participant’s personal
approach to teaching and includes specific goals for student outcomes
Evidence of didactic teaching experience is provided that reflects the

Peter has done a terrific job with his teaching portfolio and I have enjoyed being allowed to contribute as a reviewer and evaluator at different times. I think he is a fine
educator and has demonstrated all of the necessary skills to be effective in teaching students or other learners.

This portfolio is exceptional and should be considered for the Nicholas G. Popovich IPTeC Award Yes
The Nicholas G. Popovich Award is given to a resident, fellow, or pharmacist graduate of the IPTeC program who meets several of the following criteria:
1. Develops an exceptional teaching portfolio
2. Possesses characteristics consistent with a future successful faculty member
3. Displays attributes consistent with an effective mentor and preceptor
4. Exudes passion for a career in pharmacy academia
5. Expresses interest in the scholarship of teaching
