ARGUMENTS AGAINST THE BAN:-

1. Historical fiction (This was a disclaimer given at the start of the movie)
The film is a fictional narrative set in the nine hours in the life of Nathuram
Godse (Horst Buchholz) that led up to his assassination of Mohandas Karamchand
Gandhi (J.S. Casshyap). Movies are created with the aim of amusement. As a
result, it should not be taken seriously.
A movie is a single motion picture as well as related video materials typically
packaged with the motion picture. These materials may include, without
limitation, previews of other motion pictures, information about the making of the
film or the artists appearing in it.
If we see the definition of the movie, it is mentioned there that the contents of the
movie is without limitation.
2. Freedom of speech and expression
Article 19(1) (a) of the Constitution of India states that “all citizens shall have the
right to freedom of speech and expression”. Although it hurts a certain segment
of society, the government does not have the authority to revoke someone's right to
freedom of speech and expression because it’s a fundamental right of an
individual.
3. The director ‘Mark Robson’ had obtained approval from the then Indian
Government on the basis of the script. The film was created according to the
screenplay, and therefore should not be prohibited since it was permitted by
the 'then' Indian government.
