Plainly Abdul and Shirley have numerous conflicts happening all

the while according to the situation given in the case study. In my
view, all the conflicts happened to a great extent because of the
reason that the resentment feeling of Shirley and that there is an
absence of direct communication among Abdul and Shirley.Based
on my study on the case scenario, it is found that one of the
conflicts is that Shirley has resentment towards Abdul. Shirley
always feels that Abdul is incompetent at the position. She was
wondered she had once interviewed Abdul; her position should be
higher or senior than Abdul but why she and Abdul ended up as
joint project leaders. The conflict becoming serious at the point
when Abdul was speaking to himself as the head of the project and
this made Shirley thinks that the project gave the feeling that
Shirley was working under him and this hurts Shirley. In addition,
where the two of them were the joint project leader, Abdul
regarded Shirly as a colleague like others. This can be seen when
Abdul reviewed everybody's obligations line by line including
Shirley. On top of that, by sending out and signing the letter by
Abdul himself as the only director in the letter also made Shirley
thinks that Abdul disrespect her. As a consequence, these hit
Shirley's confidence and anything that Abdul does, Shirley would
respond distinctively towards than if it were somebody that she
didn't have feelings of resentment towards.
.
The following clash is that Shirley loathes Abdul assembling
conferences without her knowledge and she likewise hates not
being informed and aware of the agenda preceding the meeting.
The feeling of resentment proceeds in light of the fact that Shirley
doesn't like that Abdul alludes to himself as the "project director"
exclusively, not as a group, that group being he and Shirley.
However, with all these happened, Abdul believed that Shirley is
being excessively sensitive. Abdul claimed that as Shirley has
several other ongoing projects to handle so he handled this one
with the thought that this will help Shirley to ease her burden.
Nonetheless, when he stepped up and set up a gathering, Shirley
begins to be sensitive and discontent with whatever of his actions.
The last conflict is additionally an aftereffect of an absence of
communication. In the event that Shirley is ignoring a project,
instead of acknowledge Abdul for his help, she will just discover
deficiency on Abdul's part and had issues of resentment and
outrage on Abdul.

2. In my opinion, the possible solutions for this conflict could be as

the following ways. Firstly,Abdul as well as Shirley should at least
sit down and have a talk peacefully in order to remove the
misunderstanding between them. Alternatively, they can have the
discussion with their bosses in a company meeting. During the
meeting or discussion between them or between them and their
boss, they can express their opinions and thoughts to each other
in either a formal or informal way.

Secondly, they might consider distributing their responsibility and

duty as well as also their authorization clearly. In other words,
there should be a clear division of duties for both of the project
leaders.

Next, the schedule of meetings for the projects should be made

more elaborate which means it should be known to all easily. The
team might consider using the Google Calendar,Trello and any
other project manager tools so that all the members in the team
including the project leaders could be reminded regarding the team
meeting. According to the scenario, Abdul contended that Shirley
is already having many projects. Hence, in my humble opinion, the
suggestion would be she can compromise with Abdul and can
delegate him some power authorization, which in turn is able to
help her to focus on other projects. Or, since Shirley has so many
projects on her hand, hence it would be best that she ought to be
taken out from this task with Abdul else she ought to be eliminated
from some other less important undertakings so she could get time
for this one.

In any case, the main proposal for Shirley and Abdul is that they
should have better communication between the two of them. They
need to set up a set and settled upon time for them to have a week
by week meeting to examine all tasks, issue and regions of
concern. What's more, they need to concur that while tending to
the staff, both know about the plan and that both play an
equivalent job in being directors. They likewise need to consent to
permit the other to assemble a conference, as long as the two of
them meet preceding the gathering so they present a brought
together front to different workers.
All in all, if both of these people would have set up rules for their
co-administrative situations prior to beginning their new positions,
every one of these conflicts might have been kept away from.
Pushing ahead, it is imperative to utilize the present circumstance
to realize what not to do later on.

3. The first mistake that would have been solved is that assigning
of more than one leader to a project.Any project have only one
main leader it is “too many broths spoil the food”.The project
should be headed by only one person taking decisions.

The next mistake was that of bad judging during hiring of both of
them . The personnel should properly judge the characteristic of
both Abdul and Shirley ,so as to suit the positions according to
their interest.
