Type of product: Ecological exercise bike

Stationary bicycle blue color, with an ergonomic design and futuristic style, composed of
a motor that when starting to pedal comes into contact with a pulley and a dynamo, which will
transform the kinetic energy produced by the movement of the pedals, into electrical energy, to
be stored in a portable battery. This energy will not only be given by pedaling, but also by a solar
panel implemented on the back of the bicycle that will supply energy for the day. The exercise
bike is designed for homes, as it can give enough energy to charge a cell phone, turn on light
bulbs, give power to turn on the television, while burning calories and improving your health.

Country of destination: Costa Rica

The Republic of Costa Rica, is a sovereign nation, organized as a unitary presidential

republic made up of 7 provinces. Located in Central America, it has a territory with a total area
of 51,100 km. It borders Nicaragua to the north, the Caribbean Sea to the east, Panama to the
southeast and the Pacific Ocean to the west. As for the maritime borders, it borders Panama,
Nicaragua, Colombia and Ecuador. It has 5.163.068 inhabitants according to its latest
demographic projection. Its capital, political and economic center is San José, and its official
language is Spanish.

In many aspects, Costa Rica is a success story in terms of development. Considered an

upper-middle-income country, Costa Rica has experienced sustained economic growth over the
past 25 years. This progress is the result of an outward-oriented growth strategy, based on
openness to foreign investment, as well as gradual trade liberalization. Costa Rica is also a world
leader thanks to its environmental policies and achievements, which have helped the country
build its Green Brand. The innovative Payment for Environmental Services program has been
successful in promoting the conservation of forests and biodiversity; making Costa Rica the only
tropical country in the world that has reversed deforestation. According to the World Bank
(2020) Costa Rica has been promoting all these renewable energies since the middle of the last
century for two very weighty reasons: to depend less on oil-producing countries and to conserve
its splendid environment.
Brand name Proposal: Energy Bike.

Ecological static bicycle the perfect mix of sport, wellness and generation of clean
energy. Designed for homes as a complement to the regular electricity supply, another
application would also be the recharging of mobile devices or the generation of electricity in
places that are difficult to access for the distribution network, such as rural areas. The intention
of this eco-friendly alternative is with a simple pedaling is to generate healthy habits and
generate electricity in a more environmentally friendly way.

The idea of starting in Costa Rica is one of the countries within the region with the
highest investment in this area of environmentally friendly products and they are not 100%
supplied, that is why Ecological Exercise Bike would cover that space within the market.

Justification of the chosen product and country based on marketing research.

Taking into account the difficult situation facing the world at an environmental level, due
to the different threats of industrialization and all the productive activities that threaten the
sustainability of the environment, and where pollution considerably affects the quality of life and
well-being of the inhabitants of Costa Rica, this stationary bicycle ergonomic design and
futuristic style, also ecological and energy-generating, would be ideal for Costa Rica since the
bicycle has proven to be one of the best options for the construction of a healthy and friendly
environment with the planet, apart from all this they generate savings in the pocket for the
citizen. It is ideal and suitable for anyone, both children and adults, for use in large or small
cities for better ease and means of transportation, besides that Costa Rica is known for its
beaches and its great biodiversity, Costa Rica has an international reputation as an ecological
paradise. The country is home to more than 500,000 species of plants and animals. Likewise,
Costa Rica is a pioneer in renewable energies, obtaining 98 percent of its electricity from
hydroelectric, biomass, geothermal, wind and solar energy.

So, our bicycle would be the best option for this country. Since the government plans to
clean the air of Costa Rica and make the country have a zero-carbon footprint by the year 205,
one way to achieve both is to encourage Costa Ricans to use the bicycle on their trips and our
bicycle clean energy cares for and respects the environment and it will appreciate it, it is
magnificently designed that can be traveled with tranquility, comfort and a lot of style, travel
distances in less time whether from home, work, university. Thus, the government of Costa Rica
has this radical vision of change and its vision of change to provide systems and better adapt to
the needs of pedestrians and cyclists.
