Benchmarking Competencies and Skills for the Students

Our Training and Placement cell is equipped to manage student training and development to
match current industry requirements in order to improve placements. We emphasise the
development of both functional abilities and an extraordinary practical viewpoint to help students
stand out and get a competitive edge over their peers. The Training and Placement cell works
relentlessly to ensure that all students find work in a variety of areas, as well as assisting
emerging entrepreneurs in starting successful firms. The department hosts monthly activities and
courses to help students become better team leaders and players.

Training & Placement Cell arranges aptitude skills, soft skills, motivational presentations,
industry visits, professional certification courses, and talent enrichment programmes to achieve
this goal.

The Training & Placement Cell helps students find jobs by forming long-term partnerships with
businesses and industries. The placement cell maintains students' competitiveness by cultivating
entrepreneurial and practical skills in order for them to take advantage of industrial chances.

Training: The corporate world has grown increasingly people-centric, and quality staff is in high
demand. This is necessary for the business to stay ahead of the competition. However, there is a
disconnect between what industry demands and what students can provide. Before presenting an
offer to students, all organisations that hire from various technical colleges search for different
technical talents and personality attributes. We offer several training programmes that are
tailored to each student in order to enhance their technical skills, polish their soft skills, and
prepare them for the corporate world. These programmes are designed to prepare students from a
campus perspective.

SOFT SKILL TRAINING:


From very first year, we train ur students and help them to develop their communication skills
effectively. The students are trained to read, write, and speak in English. The students are also
trained in how to deal with stress interviews from day one so that they can crack any interview.
Other soft skills like body language, dress code, attitude etc. are also taught here.

-Conduct effective business correspondence and prepare business reports which produce results.

Personality development
The Placement Cell emphasizes overall grooming and personality development as an important
element of training. A short-term goal is to train one specifically for current organizational
issues. To properly empower students, the Placement Cell works to fully groom them so that
they may effectively deal with tomorrow's new difficulties. Through a series of exams and
workshops, The Cell helps students discover their strengths and weaknesses. It gives counselling
and assistance based on this information to help students work on their weaknesses and build
their talents.

Aptitude and reasoning


Aptitude describes a person's mental stability and analytical abilities. These assessments are
frequently used by businesses for hiring and training. The idea is to place the right people in the
right occupations, based on their skills. This is one of the main reasons why most companies
perform aptitude tests for recruitment. Our instructors meet with companies and recruiters from
various industries to discuss the criteria and learn what they expect from our students.

Skill Development
To keep ahead of the competition, placement training programmes assist students in learning specialized
abilities linked to their selected field or domain. To acquire corporate exposure, students participate in
internships, live projects, and summer training led by the T&P cell coordinator. Furthermore, increased
industry knowledge improves students' employability abilities in a variety of industries and assists them
in choosing appropriate career and future growth decisions.

Communication Techniques
If you want to work in the business world, you need be able to communicate effectively. During the
interview round, the employee evaluates the candidates' communication skills. If you have strong
communication skills, you will be able to properly introduce yourself and convey your ideas in a way that
persuades the employer that you are the best candidate for the job. While interacting with other team
members at work, the employer looks for candidates that have clarity in their thoughts and speech. As a
result, the Training & Placement cell works with students to improve their communication skills so that
they can confidently connect with the employer and other students on campus.

Group Discussions
Group Discussion has become a critical part of the campus recruitment process. The selection for
the final interview round is done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the Group
Discussion round. Group Discussion round assesses the communication skills, confidence, and
behavioral response of the students. The Training and Placement Cell Coordinator organizes a
series of group mock discussions to build confidence, Leadership Skills, Listening Skills,
teamwork, communication skill, and technical knowledge of the subject of the respective
domain. Basically in the group mock discussions, each group receives a topic for discussion and
they need to debate among themselves in a conversational manner. After every mock group
discussion, the experienced faculty provides feedback and review to the students and highlights
their weak areas that require improvement to perform well in the campus placement

Writing a Resume and a Cover Letter


With their resumes, students may make a good impression on employers. The resume screening
stage of the recruitment process is used to choose students for the following phase. As a result,
having an attention-grabbing CV is critical, as the first impression is the last. On the first page,
the resume should summaries the students' credentials, skills, interests, achievements, and other
essential facts, as well as include infographics to catch the employer's attention. During pre-
placement training, the Training and Placement Cell Coordinator guides students in producing
the right CV using the institute resume template.
Personal Interview
Performing effectively in the last stage of the personal interview is a key step in getting hired in
your dream industry. Some organizations undertake 2-3 rounds of interviews, which include HR
and technical interviews, while others choose candidates based on a panel and a Skype interview.
The Training and Placement Cell Coordinator prepares students for interviews by teaching them
about creativity, stress management, confidence, dress code, and communication skills, among
other things. Students should have responses to popular interview questions such as "About
Yourself," "Career Interest," "Strengths and Weaknesses," and "Technical Knowledge of the
Domains" prepared. The Placement Cell focuses on improving students' interview abilities in
order to maximize their chances of being selected during the interview phase.
