We can conclude that technical drawing is a very important system in the world of
engineering, since it allows us to create designs in a structured and organized way.
Through it we can represent in a precise and exact way an object, through it we can
calculate its dimensions and specific and remarkable characteristics. The discipline of
engineering would be based on assumptions and theories if this wonderful system did not
exist, thanks to this we can shape the work, give them life and make a tangible
construction.

It is worth mentioning that the evolution of technical drawing is mainly due to the need
for communication, the need for a universal language of the discipline whose purpose
was to represent objects as accurately as possible, and that this was possible taking into
account imagination and reason, and not only the mere senses. It required a technique, a
method or a strategy that would be useful for expressing and recording the data, ideas and
information required for practical realization and materialization. In the history of
technical drawing, three great ingenious masters stand out, who laid the foundations and
developed the techniques of technical drawing. They are Gaspar Monge, Leonardo Da
Vinci and Alfredo Bensaude. Thanks to them, technical drawing is nowadays
implemented in engineering careers and universities.

This has been a great contribution to many disciplines, among which engineering stands
out, and nowadays it is essential because to a great extent the correct development of the
projects or processes to be carried out depends on the quality of the technical drawing,
that is to say, on the clarity and accuracy of the plans.

To train professional engineers it is necessary that this system is implemented and taught
in a complete and deep way, it is a necessary skill. There are many reasons why it is
necessary to know how to make a good technical drawing. For example, engineers
constantly create new and original designs that must be presented to other colleagues, so
it is important to follow the basics, because if they are not followed they will not be
understood, because as mentioned above, this is the universal language of this discipline.
