Do you agree with this statement, “nanotechnology can make our life luxurious,
but may lose our identity as humans?”
Nanotechnology refers to the fields of science and engineering in which phenomena
occur at nanometer scales that are used in the design, characterization, production, and application of materials, structures, devices, and systems. Without our consent, nanotechnology implants artificial intelligence in our minds and provides us with the idea of our own view of ourselves. Nanotechnology has a vast range of applications, such as in medicine, electronics, biomaterials, solar cells, sporting goods, lasers, displays, aerospace, nano-foods, textiles, cosmetics, and energy production. Also, nanotechnology has an impact on our lives on a daily basis. For example, it helps improve vehicle fuel efficiency. The vehicle parts that are made from nanocomposite materials are lighter, stronger, and more chemically resistant compared to metal. In fact, the everyday products that we use, such as sunscreen, furniture, adhesives, and computers, are made using nanotechnology. I do not agree that nanotechnology can make our lives luxurious, but it may lose our identity as humans in the sense that, yes, it has the enormous potential to improve people's lives, but it cannot replace the qualities, beliefs, personality traits, and appearance that every person has, so it may not lose our identity as humans. Nanotechnology is increasingly becoming a part of our daily lives. Some of the advantages of this are it can benefit the energy sector, nanotechnology allows for the development of more effective energy-producing, energy-absorbing, and energy-storage products in smaller and more efficient systems. Batteries, fuel cells, and solar cells, for example, can be made smaller while yet being more effective with this technology. It can also help the manufacturing sector that will need materials like nanotubes, aerogels, nano particles, and other similar items to produce their products with. These materials are often stronger, more durable, and lighter than those that are not produced with the help of nanotechnology. And lastly and the most important for us, humans, it has a huge benefit on health and environment by identifying pollutants using particular sensors. As a result, nanotechnology offers a novel way to reducing waste production, greenhouse gas emissions, and hazardous chemical discharge into water bodies. Despite these positive sides, nanotechnology has a shadow side. It may cause loss of jobs of many people in manufacturing and farming etc. , nanoparticles have the potential to harm the lungs. We already know that 'ultra fine' particles emitted by diesel engines, power plants, and incinerators can cause significant damage to human lungs and it can have a possible threats to security and privacy of every people. Nanotechnology has a significant impact on society because it has the potential to increase energy efficiency, help clean up the environment, and solve major health problems. It is said to be capable of massively increasing manufacturing output while significantly lowering costs. Nanotechnology is popular in science and technology right now, and it appears that the trend will continue to grow exponentially. Nanotechnology is suddenly everywhere, from computer chips to bicycle frames. Nanotechnology is a brand new technology that has only recently begun. It is a revolutionary science that will change everything we previously knew. The future that we have only seen in science fiction films will become a reality in the not-too-distant future and there are many advantages of nanotechnology that can help to improve the everyday lives of humans and can make their lives more comfortable and easier, but it does not mean that they may lose their identity because of this. We should keep in mind that it is important to maintain our self-identity without the full presence of this technology in order for us to emerge as stronger people if we have faith in ourselves and are able to recognize our own abilities.
