Fault mode Detection conditions:The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers: intermittent signal loss or
FMI 2 signal error (EA37/EA38)
Symptom: Possible causes:

¡ Red central warning ¡ Electric interference on speed signal

¡ Buzzer sounds one time ¡ Loose connection
¡ Error message screen ¡ Poor insulation or defective cable
¡ Low power because of engine ¡ Incorrectly installed sensor
protection ¡ Defective sensor
¡ Engine runs rough/ varying engine ¡ Damaged gear teeth on flywheel
speed
¡ Misfiring
¡ Engine stops/cannot be started (on
condition that camshaft signal is
also incorrect)
¡ Engine is difficult to start, only after

¡ Low power because of engine ¡ Positive cable short-circuited to
protection voltage

¡ Misfiring ¡ Negative cable short-circuited to
