1 INTRODUCTION / INTRODUCCIÓN

Peru is considered one of the best destinations in the world because of its regions with different
types of climate, food, and interesting places. We can find many touristic places on the coast. For
example: zoos, swimming pools, movie theaters, beaches, museums, and archaeological sites,
where citizens and foreigners have the opportunity to relax and have fun. Huanchaco in Trujillo
and Mancora in Piura are very popular beaches. The Lord of Sipan Museum in Lambayeque, the
Museum of Art in Lima and the Nazca Lines in Ica are must-see. Also, there are beautiful places in
the highlands and the jungle of Peru. For example: there is an archaeological site in Huaraz called
The Stone Heads of Chavin de Huantar. Besides, there are other sites like Mummies of the
warriors in Sarcophagi of Karajia, located in Chachapoyas. Its citizens called them “The warriors of
the clouds”. In Puno, people can find the
wonderful Burial Towers of Sillustani or ‘chullpas’.
In Cuzco, there are a lot of places to visit as well.
People from different parts of the world go there
to eat pachamanca or fried guinea pig and go Peru is considered one of the
sightseeing in The Ancient City of Pisac and the best destinations in the
majestic Machu Picchu, that was declared one of world
the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World
since 2007. There are amazing and extraordinary
places to visit in our country.

In our country, Peru, and its neighborhoods, there are a lot of amazing places to visit.

We use There is and There are to express the existence of something or someone.

We use There is with plural nouns. There are is used with singular nouns.
