Conscription first appeared in January 1916, just after the First World War started.

This was because

the British Government passed the Military Service Act.

1. A lot of the men who took part in volunteering for the British Army were killed by 1916 - where at
the point, the government needed more soldiers. It was a plea that men could be forced to join the
army.

1. This was an act put in place that single men aged 18 - 40 years old were inclined to be called up to
be in the military services - unless they were widowed with kids or ministers of a religion.

2. Conscription is an enrolment of people in the national services. especially the military services.

3. For many reasons as to why conscription is one of the most talked topics.is to do with helping out
a specific war or government which is unpopular due to the sexism that men received when they
were out there fighting for the country.

4. Trying to get themselves to a better place.

5. They also wanted to protect their families - this is all because of dictatorship . Because this was
immorally wrong.

6. This means that it comes down to being aware of major complications - such as major hostilities
between countries and people and the requirements of fighting in out in war with the rivals.

7. Where as many people failed to be enlisted within the first year it started.
