Following are the major problems faced by the ski shop according to us:

Due to late ordering, the arrival of merchandise is late.

2. Lack of understanding with local government.
3. Insufficient space of parking lots.
4. Due to mismanagement the firm is hardly making any profit.

Solutions to the problem are described under:


1. The order should be placed before the season at the right time. So that the shop

does not run out of stock during the peak season time.

2. The owner is having problems with local government due to lack of management.
He is unable to manage his relations with government. Due to this issue government
does not allowing him to showcase his sign / advertising board near road and the

3. He has insufficient space of parking lots due to which customers prefers those who
have enough parking slots.
4. When a firm is not working according to its goals then the firm will get zero or
marginal profit. But if firm works properly, place their orders at the time, deals with
government with tact & diplomacy then the firm will have good profit margins.
5. Other shopkeepers have the repair & maintenance department in their shop while
our friend’s brother in law does not have any facility regarding repair & maintenance
due to which customers prefers other shops. If he manages to have both of the
departments in his shop then the shop will get more attention of customers.

CONCLUSION: The shop is not working according to his expectation due to which the
owner is earning marginal profit. If the owner places his orders timely, deals with the
government in a tactful & diplomatic way, by using marketing techniques and provide the
customers best facilities and offers discounts. This will enhance our business & will able to
get good amount of profit.

CASE – 2: TOYS GALORE


QUESTION: What would you advise toys galore to do? Write it down with reasoning.
We will advise toys galore to expand the production of toys by the start of October. By doing
this he will get following two advantages:

so he can expand according to the demand.
