INTRODUCTION
AAH Series are a new generation of air
handling units, designed to meet the
environmental, hygienic and engineering
demands of the new millenium.

AAH Series units are manufactured to

high engineering standards to provide
the requirements of ventilation, heating,
cooling, dehumidification and air
distribution to a conditioned space.

AAH units are suitable for both indoor

and outdoor installations and are a
perfect choice for schools, offices, banks,
workshops, laboratories, hospitals,
restaurants, cinemas, mosques and
supermarkets etc.

The AAH Series units are available in 13

sizes to deliver nominal airflow rates from
800 cfm (378 l/s) to 20,000 cfm
(9438 l/s) against total static pressure of
upto 5 inwg (1245 Pa). The units are rated
in accordance with ARI standard 430/99.

types of heat recovery systems can be provided as an integral
part of SKM AAH units. These depend upon special installation
and other requirements like :

• Run Around Coil System [RRC] :

This system comprises of two coils placed in the supply
and exhaust air streams. The coils are connected in a closed
loop via piping and circulating pump. Water or glycol is
circulated as a heat transfer medium. This system offers
efficiency up to 65% and recovers sensible heat only.

• Fixed Plate Heat Recovery System [RHP] :

Fixed plate heat recovery system consists of fixed aluminum
plates separating the exhaust and supply air streams. The
exhaust air passes through the exchanger from end to end
and the supply air stream passes through in a counter flow.
The two air streams are totally segregated and flow through
individual passages formed by the plates within the
exchanger. The plates separating the two air streams act AAH UNITS FOR OUTDOOR INSTALLATION

1 Given air velocities and performance are at nominal air flow rates. For other air flow rates, refer to SKM computer selection
2 kW ratings shown are fan abosrbed power. To get motor power, multiply this kW by 1.20 for kW<10, and by 1.15 for kW>10
3 Shaded areas represent the performance with up-size fan

1 “ (25 mm) Insulation :

The full length of the unit is obtained by adding each section length plus 1.57” (40 mm) x No. of knockdown frames
eg for AAH-50 with FAT, CHW & BMXP sections and 2 knockdown frames total length would be
Total Length = 49.6 (1260) + 25.6 (650) + 39.6 (1006) + 1.57 (40) x 2 = 117.94” (2996 mm
