Love for Animals
One day I found a little pup in the corner of my garden. It was shivering and crying in cold. I felt so bad
that I ran to my mother and requested to give a saree to cover the pup. My mother first refused but after
I took her to it, she understood and not only covered the pup with a small rug but also gave a bowl of
hot milk to drink. Now the pup felt warm, curled under the rug and went off to sleep. My mother and I

ASSIGNMENT -29
SUB: EVS (SST) CLASS: III
TOPIC: INDIA-FOOD AND CLOTHING
BRIEFING- It's the 21st century and "junk food" has gone global. For better or for worse (mostly worse), junk
food is now available all over the world. We see it most everywhere we go -- in grocery and convenience stores, fast-
food restaurants, on television -- usually looking very appealing. Another problem is that junk food tends to replace
other, more nutritious foods. When people drink lots of soda, for example, they are usually not getting plenty of low-
fat dairy or other healthful beverages like green tea or orange juice. When they are snacking on chips and cookies,
they are usually not loading up on fruits and vegetables
LET’S LEARN ABOUT JUNK FOOD:

Q1. Why junk food is bad for you?

ANS. Eating junk food on a regular basis can lead to an increased risk of obesity (A disorder involving excessive
body fat that increases the risk of health problems), chronic diseases (conditions that last 1 year or more) and some
cancers.

Q2. What are the disadvantages of junk food?

ANS. One of the most common side-effects of consuming junk foods is increased obesity. The composition of junk
food is loads of sugar, calories and fats which contribute to weight-gain. Obesity can cause many medical issues like
diabetes, joint-pain and heart diseases.

Q3. What are the foods you should never eat?

ANS. The foods that we should never eat are:
1.White bread, refined flours.
2. Frozen meals (A prepared meal that needs only to be heated before serving.).
3.Microwaveable popcorn.
4.Cured meat (meat that has been preserved) products (for e.g. bacon, salami, etc. )
Q4. Name some food which are to be avoided.
ANS. The foods that we should avoid are-
1.Diet soda. Just because something is calorie-free doesn't mean it's chemical-free. ...
2.Processed pastries.

ANS. From samosas to pani puris, there are more foods than fried chicken or junk foods that can hurt our health.
Some of the that can hurt our health are : 1)Bhujia. 2) Samosa. 3) Kachori. 4) Pani puri. 5)Vada.
