About four years ago, the time my family came to Da Lat was in the spring, at this

time the weather was still very cold, but the cold air in Da Lat made us feel pure,
idyllic and heartbroken.  A few petals of cherry apricot blossom at the end of the
season were pink on the roads we passed, we were fascinated looking at them through
the car window.  How wonderful Da Lat City was at that time!
The tour bus took us to visit many famous tourist attractions of Da Lat such as clay
tunnel simulated famous architectural works, lavender fields on the banks of poetic
Tuyen Lam lake, quiet Truc Lam Zen Monastery, windy Mai Anh church, Cau Dat tea
hill floating in the morning drifting clouds, quiet contemplation of Lang Biang range,
Than Tho lake with a sad love story, nostalgic Dalat train station, majestic Datanla
waterfall, lovely hydroponic strawberry garden, colorful city flower garden  … Every
place had its own beauty and specialty, we tried to enjoy and took pictures to record
those places, we afraid one day We will forget We stopped in these places.
Dalat city was nestled in the mountains and hills were also in the heart of the city.
Perhaps that is why the architecture in Da Lat has a very unique feature, French-style
houses undulating on high and low slopes.  There were green pine trees on both sides
of the road, and the wind blows a little cold, we felt like we were walking in the
middle of the sky. Was it because the city was located in a rather isolated place, so the
pace of life in Da Lat was slow and calm?  Everything went by so gently and slowly,
very suitable for relaxation and rest.  Coming here we felt comfortable, it reduced the
pressure of life, and maybe thanks to that, we realized what we needed and what we
would do next.
In Da Lat, there were often drizzles that come and go. Da Lat people said to each
other, the rain would stop quickly, if the rain didn’t stop, it was determined that we
would stay at home all day today!  It was strange! We felt in love with the drizzle in
Da Lat, it was not heavy or sultry like the rain of clouds in Saigon, the drizzle of Da
Lat came gently and then left which made people fall in love. In our heart, there was
still the feeling of lightness when walking up the stairs to Truc Lam Zen Monastery
under the drizzling rain, we thought that both time and space stopped in that moment,
only remaining  We were left in the midst of the gentle purity of heaven and earth.

We felt that there were many special things about Da Lat city. The whole city didn’t
have a single traffic light, the flow of people moved slowly and slowly, they were still
passing the junctions and intersections. Unlike in Cantho city, when the red light just
started 60 seconds, people also started counting down, everyone was in a hurry in their
own hustle and bustle.  Da Lat people explained, because their city was too steep and
winding, it was impossible to have traffic lights.
What if you're halfway down the slope and you see a red light, brake the car and then
slide back down the slope, what should you do?  ^^ Da Lat were so strange and so
lovely!  It was also a city without air conditioning, even the fan installed in the hotel
was just for fun, but few people turn on the fan when it was cold!  Another special
thing was that when we went to any restaurant, hotel, restaurant or cafe, we could
drink hot tea for free, and every meal came with a plate of coleslaw.  If anyone asks us
what is the best food in Da Lat, we will answer that the vegetables are extremely
delicious!
Cucumbers, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage.. fresh green, crispy sweet, processed into
mixed vegetables, stir-fried vegetables, hot pot vegetables... all dishes were delicious.
In Cantho, we have never eaten such delicious vegetables. These vegetables and fruits
were products of high-tech agriculture, which could be called specialties of Da Lat.
Hi-tech agriculture in Da Lat was very developed because Da Lat was fortunate to be
naturally endowed with excellent climate and soil.
We once heard a friend say that, in Da Lat, there were all sad love stories, which were
faithful love stories associated with famous tourist attractions such as: Thong Hai Mo
Hill, Than Tho Lake, Lang Biang mountain range, with  a common ending is that they
were not together until they died. We knew that, but standing in the midst of the
sweetness of nature and heaven in Da Lat, in the midst of the cold air as if freezing
loneliness, everyone wanted to have a strong love, to be welcomed by their lover at
dawn on the green tea hill, putting on a warm coat, riding a bicycle through the cold
winding slopes and then stopping at a roadside shop to sip a cup of hot milk coffee…
Da Lat despite many sad love stories, but  it was still the city of love, for a simple
reason, Da Lat made us want to love and be loved.

Besides, Da Lat was nestled behind pine trees, unobtrusive, not flashy, but for any
Vietnamese, especially for couples who love each other, they still want to visit once
and feel the special features that are hard to find anywhere else. Da Lat will not ask
anyone to love you the way they love other cities, but Da Lat knows that it has left in
the hearts of tourists the most special problems and attachments.

After a trip in Da Lat, we temporarily put aside the worries, chaos and pressures of
daily life to let ourselves in the chilly breeze, we strode on the steep surrounding
slopes to see the colors of flowers soothe fatigue, we let ourselves melt in the floating
mist, we found that our soul were reborn and we realized this life was worth living!
