1. Write five simple sentences related to your life.

2. Use the five simple sentences written before and change them to compound
sentences.
3. Use the five sentences on item 1 and change them to complex sentences.
4. Use the compound and complex sentences presented before to create compound
complex sentences.

A. Simple sentences
1. Sentence: The cadets are studying to graduate.
2. Sentence: My friends are always laughing in class.
3. Sentence: The teachers are teaching everything they know.
4. Sentence: The pilots are sleeping everywhere.
5. Sentence: Technicians are attentive in all classes.

B. Compound sentences
1. Sentence: The cadets are studying to graduate YET the subjects are very
complicated
2. Sentence: My friends are always laughing in class YET they get too distracted
from learning
3. Sentence: The teachers are teaching everything they know YET some cadets
don't understand English very well.
4. Sentence: The pilots are sleeping everywhere YET this is dangerous when they
are flying, it can cause accidents.
5. Sentence: Technicians are attentive in all classes YET they almost always pass
by tired.

C. Complex sentences
1. Sentence: The cadets are studying to graduate although they have little time left.
2. Sentence: My friends always laugh in class althought they get in trouble.
3. Sentence: The teachers are teaching everything they know althought the classes
are still virtual and everything is difficult.
4. Sentence: The pilots sleep everywhere although they get plenty of rest whenever
they can.
5. Sentence: Technicians are attentive in all classes although they do not always
understand what they are taught.

D. Compound-complex sentences
1. Sentence: The cadets are studying to graduate although they have little time left,
YET the subjects are very complicated.
2. Sentence: My friends always laugh in class althought they get in trouble, YET
they get too distracted from learning
3. Sentence: The teachers are teaching everything they know althought the classes
are still virtual and everything is difficult, YET some cadets don't understand
English very well.
4. Sentence: The pilots sleep everywhere although they get plenty of rest whenever
they can, YET this is dangerous when they are flying, it can cause accidents.
 5. Sentence: Technicians are attentive in all classes although they do not always

The order in these types of sentences is: Complex sentence + coordinating conjunction +
simple sentence.
