Super light clutch utinit fionr T-MAX 500 / 530 EVO
This document supports the current version of the Jetprime super light clutch unit and all subsequent
versions untl this document is replaced by a new editon.

For the correct installaton of the super light clutch unit, please follow the following instructons:
● Remove all of the water and oil from the engine and the lef hand side crankcase.
● Unscrew the central nut which holds the clutch in place and remove the complete original clutch unit.
● Remove the central hub and gear from the original clutch by unscrewing the central nut. Turn the
aluminium hub unit upside down 180° (see above photo) and tghten the nut back into place using
using a 90Nm torque wrench.
● For an easier installaton, we recommend mountng the clutch discs onto the hub and then insertng the
hub unit into the Jetprime clutch cover.

● The clutch discs consists of two mixed discs (cork on one side and a smooth surface on the other) 5
fricton discs and 4 steel discs. The correct sequence for the discs is as shown in the above photo.
Please note that the 2 mixed discs should be fied frst with the fricton side of the disc facing the
Jetprime spring holder disc.

● Place the springs into the appropriate positons.

● Fit the Jetprime closing disc and the snap ring.
● Remount the complete Jetprime clutch unit onto the Tmax.
● Fit the aluminium spacer onto the pin between the bolt and cover.
● Tighten the holding bolt to 65Nm (as advised in the Yamaha manual).
● Add water and oil back into the engine.
● The clutch will need to be broken in gently and we consider making a short journey of about 6-10 miles
(10-15km) paying aienton to not force the start to avoid overheatng the discs too much.

Please tinionte: For road use we consider the use of only 3 springs placed at 120°. For a race aiack and feel,
you should use all 6 springs.
