TYPHOON AND TEMPEST

Phoon was aware of her differences, but they were unrelated

to her supernatural abilities. She was an outcast in a world of

strange creatures. She has no idea what race she belongs to.

Until one rainy day, when her monstrosity starts to form, the

calm before a brutal war of a storm.   As Phoon looked up around

her and locked eyes with the dark surroundings and its shadows,

she felt a sense of panic.

Thousands of people were left homeless and clueless of how

to survive in the typhoon-ravaged areas that were once their

homes.  The typhoon wreaked havoc not just on individuals who

were affected, but also on their lives and futures.

Phoon cannot imagine the internal pain and suffering that is

going on.  They could have been exposed to a cyclone. Post-

traumatic sickness stress, anxiety, panic, concern, sadness, and

behavioral reactions can all be impacted by this event.

Infrastructure, including roads and bridges, as well as

communication lines, power, water, and transportation, all

collapsed. The economic system that allows people to survive

while still eating has already broken down, and there is now an

urgent need for individuals to construct living buildings as

their homes.
It's really awful to see a situation where I can't do

anything to rescue our property. It was so sad that it happened

in the Philippines of all places in the world. We were unable to

contact our families and relatives in other cities for weeks due

to a lack of internet, energy, and network service. Surely, it is

one who has had a terrible but hopeful experience.

Regardless, I witnessed firsthand a spirit of volunteerism

as word of the tragedy spread, prompting a rush of aid from a

variety of groups and countries to help the typhoon victims. Even

more astonishing was the amount of regular individuals who

responded to the call to offer their best. Donating clothing,

food, or bottled beverages; packing and sorting products; or

purchasing merchandise to promote financial donations were all on

the agenda. It creates a stronger society.

We have no method of avoiding or averting typhoons. They

have always existed and have been created spontaneously. However,

we could do better. When a typhoon is approaching landfall, we

should be informed and prepared. Take precautionary measures. If

at all possible, seek refuge in a higher and safer position.

Secure everyone and gather the necessary and vital items. If we

did it this way, the storm's impact on everyone would be

lessened. Always be ready to respond to an emergency and know

what to do in these instances. Properties can be replaced, but

our lives cannot.
