Experience Doing community service at the Windsor Regional Library
November - December 2020
While I was doing community service at the Windsor Regional Library,
responsibilities and tasks that I had to do were planning events and
activities for the community members, organizing books, organizing
data and discarding books.

Doing Community Service at 4-H


November - December 2020, Mattie Washburn Elementary
Doing community service for the program 4-H, I was left with the tasks
and responsibilities of engaging with the students, planning math and
science activities for the students. One of the activities that I planned
was a mentos and coke lab for the students.

Attendended California Friday Night Live


October 2019, Santa Clara
California Friday Night Live was an event that I attended where students
from different counties all over California met up in Santa Clara to
come up with strategies to better improve their counties. Furthermore,
key leaders were present focusing on the topics of advocacy, community
engagement, and safer environments for the community

Shadowed a Nurse
December 2019, Oakland
While visiting my father at the Oakland hospital I had the opportunity to
shadow a nurse, in which I learned how to take blood pressure, and
insert an IV.

Volunter for the Ever Flores Campaign


November 2020, Santa Rosa
Flores was running for the Santa Rosa School board tasks that I did for
his Campaign were phone banking, and literature drop off to the Santa
Rosa residents including advocating for his campaign for better schools
in Santa Rosa.

Community Service at the Redwood Empire Food Bank

While doing Community Service at the Redwood Empire Food
Bank responsibilities and tasks that I had to do were packaging
food, organizing food, giving those people in need food

Project TRUE club president


August 2019- Present, Windsor High School
Project TRUE is a club that focuses to spread information to
students about the effects of tobacco, alcohol and drugs. My duty
as president is to conduct a survey and educate my peers about the
results of the survey. Furthermore with the results of the survey as
a club we conduct presentations.

Committee for Change Club


August 2020- Present, Windsor High School
I am a member of the Committee for Change club, specifically a
part of the subcommittee : International Outreach and Awareness.
International outreach and awareness is a subcommittee focused
on helping with issues abroad, Humanitarian and charitable efforts
are the main focus of the group. We have sent school materials to
the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Ecuador.

Internship for the Center for Well Being


July- September 2021, Santa Rosa
Through the internship at the Center for Well Being my role was
being a Project True intern. The tasks and responsibilities that I
had to do were to prepare activities for the school year for the club
PROJECT TRUE such as presentations. Furthermore, advocating
for more tobacco restrictions and writing letters to the Windsor
Town council meeting regarding the tobacco retail licensing were
also tasks of this internship.

Internship for Latino Service Providers


May- Present 2021-2022, Santa Rosa
Latino Service Providers trains Latino youth through a paid internship .
They create “ youth promotores” who have the opportunity to serve as
mental health advocates and educators in the community . Through this
internship we receive training as Community Mental Health Care
Workers and advocate for the Latino community .
Environmental Justice Coalition
August- Present 2021-2022, WIndsor
The Environmental Justice Coalition works with the Sonoma County of
Education where students execute a plan to work towards environmental
justice. The project that we are currently working on is working towards
a legislation policy that correlates with evacuation zones and the farm
workers.

The Lighthouse Initiative


August- Present 2021-2022,
The Lighthouse Initiative is a program where I have the opportunity to
be matched with a mentor and be guided through the college application
process. These mentors work with Stanford University and help
minority students through the college process.

California Scholarship Federation

The California Scholarship Federation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization
whose mission is to recognize and encourage academic achievement and
community service among middle and high school students in
California.

Santa Rosa Junior College presentation for the undocumented


students
November 2021
For the presentation to the undocumeneted students at the Santa Rosa
Junior College, the topic was presenting about mental health in both
English and Spanish.
