We use the passive voice to focus on the object.
1. Identify the object

THE PASSIVE VOICE
We use the passive voice to focus on the object. Include a by phrase when
you want to give extra information, you want to give credit, or you want to
talk about a surprising subject.
The money was stolen by Guillermo who is my neighbor.

The criminals were betrayed by their leader.

The information was sent by email.

THE PASSIVE VOICE
We use the passive voice to focus on the object. Don’t Include a by phrase
when you don’t know who did the activity, when you want to protect
someone or when it is obvious.

Three thousand dollars were stolen from the bank.
