“PADYAK! PAMANTASAN: PANDAYAN TUNGO SA KAUNLARAN”

MOVING FORWARD, CLAIMING VICTORY FOR PHILIPPINE HIGHER EDUCATION

Everything seems off. Everybody seems wonder-stricken and the world seems in distress. How are you
today? Are you feeling well? Are you feeling hopeless? helpless? Or your faith already uncertain? Everything
happens for a reason. Like what we are experiencing right now, our situation is complicated, this crisis caused
by coronavirus diseased (covid-19) brought disturbance to every nation most especially in the Philippines. It is
indeed a difficult trial and its impact on every Filipino is burdensome. However, try to look on the positive side,
on the small light coming from the darkness. We are stronger than we think we are. Interdependence is what
we need to get through to this situation.

To begin with, A worldwide concern today is the crisis we are facing and experiencing right now. This
pandemic caused by coronavirus disease (covid19), gives a colossal effect on each one of us. Everyone is
suffering and some are grieving for the loss of their loved ones because of this invisible enemy. We are all
considered vulnerable. But the most affected were the youth. We already lost a lot of opportunities because
our priority right now is our safety. And we are ordered to stay at home. I agree with all the speakers on this
webinar. Their topics are up-to-date and very helpful and encouraging at the same time. I even formulate my
realization on this webinar. We can’t force ourselves and society to accept something we aren’t used to.
Adaptation should not the first element in the process of coping and adjusting to this new normal setup. It’s
not the appropriate solution to end this crisis. It should be immediately addressed. Stop normalizing resiliency
to cover the incompetency of the administration.

As a college student, engaging in this new process of learning is tiring. Overflowing of activities and
assignments, projects, struggling to focus on classes due to a lot of personal and environmental issues and
factors, unhealthy relationship with people affecting the inner peace of my mind, exasperating internet
connection, and incompetency of the government makes it harder and harder to survive every day. All of
these affect my whole existence and I know a lot of students also experiencing this. It is not easy to adapt and
adjust to this new normal. Our resources are limited. We are indeed struggling.

Moreover, the Leadership skills of women are now visible and recognizable to many. As mentioned by
one of the resource speakers on the webinar, they are doing everything to make this new mode of learning to
be convenient and accessible to all. They are doing their best to provide good governance and service to both
students and teachers. Well appreciated. However, their strategies should be in favor of every sector.
Furthermore, Mental health is very important to be prioritized right now. Each one of us should help and
sympathize with each other. We are all in this battle together.

To sum up, this webinar is so much informative and relevant. This helps people especially both
students and teachers to appreciate each other. Appreciate how important education is. In addition, right now
let us pray for a competent government.
