Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Movie

Review

Introduction

All and each Harry Potter series both movies and

book hold a particular part in my heart. And by
Example that means, I love it all. No, I won't talk about the
whole series, I could end up with one new book if
I did, so only for specific the 6th series of Harry
Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half of Blood
Prince.
8

Evaluation 1:

May slightly unsatisfying for those who read the

book.

Evaluation 2:

It's a dark time for Harry. It's like a cup of hot cocoa
on your cold morning, but your cat breaks the
cup.

Interpretation:

Harry Potter books have been a hit and been

more potent since the Warner Bros decide to bring
it to life through a movie. One or two changes
from the text in the film is undeniable. We all know
Harry has to feel one more lost on the last movie
because Bellatrix killed his God-father, Sirius Black
after they talk about lives together in an entirely
safe village far from anywhere. Sure it's like a
thunder strikes on the midday for Harry.

As we always want for Harry happiness, many

have hope that everything he's been through will
paid on the Half-Blood Prince. At the first hour of
this movie, we can see Harry doing great for his
Potion class even beat Hermione, thanks to the
book previously owned by The Half-Blood Prince
he found at the bottom of the cupboard.

But another dreary, depressing feel once again

must we see on this movie as Dumbledore fall from
the attic after being Avada Kedavra by his trusted
man, Severus Snape aka the Half-Blood Prince.
9

Not many things from the book were adapted.

Instead, it almost entirely different. After the movie
was released, you can hear some voice of
disappointment roaring from some of the fans,
including me.

Summary

Nevertheless, this is still an excellent movie to

watch and of course worth your time. 7 starts out
of 10 for the Half-Blood Prince! Worry not because
every question and every scene missed in this
movie will be soon explained on Deathly Hallows.

Acer Iconia Tab A100

Acer

Reviewerd By mike andrew

While the 10-inch tablet market is very crowded and highly

competitive right now, when it comes to 7-inch powerful and reliable
slates, there are still some gaps that need to be filled. The Iconia Tab
A100 wants to do just that, being a very interesting, portable and
snappy gadget.

Design and display

When talking about 7-inch tablets, the aspect is very important. The
Tab A100 does not disappoint from this point of view, being elegant
and classy. The front face is surrounded by glossy black plastic, while
the back of the tablet is a dark gray plastic with Acer’s logo in the
10

middle. In terms of portability, the Iconia Tab A100 is also a more than
a satisfying device, being about the same size and weight as the HTC
Flyer, for example.

The 7-inch touchscreen with 1024×600 pixels resolution offers great

image quality, contrast and brightness, but does more of a mediocre
job when talking about viewing angles. Still, the display is overall
decent and holds the comparison with the HTC Flyer or the Samsung
Galaxy Tab 7.

Performance and software – The Iconia Tab A100 features the already
classic Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM memory
and is therefore at least as snappy and powerful as any other 7 or 10-
inch tablet on the market right now. The cameras are surprisingly
decent, the 2 MP front-facing and the 5 MP rear-facing devices
offering pretty much the best image quality you might hope to find on
a slate.

In terms of software, Acer’s 7-inch tablet is set to be a pioneer, being

the first slate of its category to be powered by the Android
Honeycomb OS. Not only that, but it will run on the latest 3.2 version of
the operating system, which means that you will get loads of apps
and snappy performance.

Connectivity and pricing – The Iconia Tab A100 is set to feature WiFi
and Bluetooth compatibility, as well as a micro-USB port and a micro
SD slot card. It would have been perfect if it would have featured
HDMI as well, but still it is pretty decent for a 7-inch tablet.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Acer Iconia Tab A100, which has
not yet been released on the market, will be available for 329
dollars(the 8 GB version) or for 349 dollars ( the 16 GB version). This is
consistently less than HTC Flyer’s or Blackberry Playbook’s prices, to
name two of the important 7-inch tablets right now.

Wrap-up – While the Iconia Tab A500 is still struggling to become one
of the important names in the tablets’ world, the from this Android
11

tablet review it looks like a winner right away. Packing good technical
specifications, as well as a decent display and a revolutionary
software for a 7-inch tablet, Acer’s new slate also comes at an
affordable price tag and will probably mesmerize technology fanatics
all around the world.

MATERIAL 4
SONG IN YOUR DAILY LIFE

DEFINITION
A song is a single (and often standalone) work of music intended to be sung by
the human voice with distinct and fixed pitches and patterns using sound and
silence and a variety of forms that often include the repetition of sections.

SOSIAL FUNCTION OF SONGS

 To entertain the listeners.
 To teach moral value through the lyrics of the songs.
 To provide a way of managing the relationship between our public and
private emotional life.
 To express personal feeling and cultural values.
 To give someone to not only shares their emotions with others, but also to
have an emotional connection that just can’t be experienced in any other
way.

GENERAL STRUCTURE OF SONGS

 Intro
The introduction establishes melodic, harmonic, and/or rhythmic related to
the main body of song.
 Verse
It is the section of the song structure that tells the story. This is the exposition,
describing the scene or the person, or an emotion. There are usually two or
three verses in a row that have the same musical structure, the same rhyme
and poetic meter, but different words. The second verse builds on the
picture painted in the first verse, etc.
 Chorus of Refrain
A chorus is the most repeated section, so it’s the easiest remembered. A
chorus is the summary of the song’s story. All the verses have been leading
up to the chorus, and is usually the part of the song people sing along with.
A chorus can come at the beginning of the song structure; it can also start
in the middle, or come at the end. In fact, some songs don’t have choruses
at all. Some people are usually confused to differentiate between choruses
15

and refrain. A refrain is any line that repeats in the song lyric, while a chorus
is any group of lines that repeat.
 Break
A break is actually a brief “rest” or “pause” for the core melody within a
song used to add further dimension and excitement. It may include a quick
instrumental solo or drum interlude or it may be a brief moment of silence,
or a combination of each of these elements.
 Bridge
This is the part of the song that shifts. It can suddenly change tempo, or
volume, or instrumentation. The bridge is the section that gives the
audience time to reflect on the story, or gives them the “climax” or
conclusion of the story through verses and chorus. Bridges can be used to
give the singer a break.
 Outro or Coda
This is the end of the road for the song. It can repeat the intro, chorus or a
refrain as an outro, or a bridge with an instrumental solo.

EXAMPLE OF THE SONG

Earth Song

Michael Jackson

Verse 1

What about sunrise

What about rain
What about all the things that you said
We were to gain
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said were yours and mine

Chorus

Did you ever stop to notice

All the blood we’ve shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying Earth, these weeping shores
Aah, ooh
16

Verse 2

What have we done to the world

Look what we’ve done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine

Chorus

Did you ever stop to notice

All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
This crying earth, these weeping shores
Aah, ooh
Aah, ooh

Verse 3

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don’t know where we are
Although I know we’ve drifted far
Aah, ooh
Aah, ooh
Aah, ooh
Aah, ooh

Bridge

Hey, what about yesterday

(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can’t even breathe
(What about us)
What about apathy
(What about us)
17

Drowning in the seas

(What about us)
What about the promised land
Preachin’ what I believe
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
What about the greed
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
