IDENTIFYING VISITORS USING COMPUTER

ABSTRACT

Visitors are a computerized system used to store and retrieve information and conduct
transactions related to Organization. The project is aimed at exposing the relevance and
importance of identifying visitors using computer. Developed this software by using
ASP.NET is used as the front-end tool and SQL Server is used as the back-end tool.

It is projected towards enhancing the relationship between visitors and organization through
the use of application, and thereby making it convenient for the visitors to book the visiting
date as when they require such that they can utilize this software to make Visiting Date.

The Visitor module assists in capturing all-relevant information about the visitor which is
automatically captured in a database, and a professional quality visitor badge is printed. No
need to encode regular visitors again, they are automatically stored in the database and, when
visiting again, they will easily be found.

This project maintains the employee details, visitor’s details of various department details.
The system provides an attractive and easy to handle user interface which follows web based
standards. Considerations have been given at the design and development stages of the
package in order to ensure data integrity and security. It is highly user friendly. No deep
knowledge of computers is required to operate this system.

This simple Identifying Visitors Using Computer module forms the basis for a very powerful
security platform. Registering all visitors through Visitor module ensures that you have a
centralized and complete record of your visitor traffic, strengthens visitor security and
improves productivity and service to your customers.

Administration Module

This module is normally installed on the Security Administrator PC. It consists of

menus where the administrator can define

 Companies – In this sub module include the company name, address, type of
company etc.,

 departments – In this sub module include the department id, department name etc,.

 employees’ details –In this employee module include employee registration like
empid, name, address etc.,

Security Gate Module

It facilitates the admin staff at the security gate to register the visitor’s details with
photograph and also send the notification to the employee sitting inside the premises. The
system will print visitor pass with name of visitor, department and visited along with validity
period. The visitor can display the pass by hanging around the neck.

Client Module

The client module is Security can inform the person about the visitor through the security
gate module. The employee can view the photograph of the visitor and can send the response
back to security through this module.

Online Appointment
 This Module can be accessed through IE or any other browser using which employees can
register their expected visitor online and send this information to the security. Employees can
also view reports of people who have visited them in a selected date range
