LEARNING TASK 1.1: POSTER MAKING

Create a poster visualization on the developments that contribute to the present ARNIS Sports.

This poster is a creative portrayal of the development of Arnis Sports from its grassroots up to its
yield on this modern era. The history of Arnis is rooted from Pre-Spanish era among the Pre-
Colonial Filipinos which is seen in the upper left visualization in the poster where a Pintados from
pre-colonial era is holding a stick sword. Meanwhile, the upper right corner of the poster portrays
the development of stick fighting among Filipinos during the Spanish Era. Their excellent fighting
skills were of great use in fighting the foreign invaders towards a conquest for the freedom of
Filipinos. Furthermore, the creative visualization in the lower part of the poster is a portrayal of
the Modern Arnis Sports, hence further declared as a national sport on 2009. PEKAF and WEKAF
has been the flagship Arnis organization with different systems, from globalized to localized, and
but still have the same objectives as sport.
