If you choose to create a new character, take the blank Wizard School of Merlin
character sheet that came with this book and first choose
your name and nationality. After that, follow these steps
in order, recording your choices on the character sheet 2. Choose Your Racial Traits
as you go. In Nazi Dracula Must Die!, all player characters are
human. Your character has the following racial traits.

 Ability Score Increase. Your ability scores each
increase by 1.
Size. Your size is Medium.
Skills. You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write one
language of your choice.
X.O.E. Combat Training. You are proficient with
simple weapons and handguns (see chapter 4).
Alternate Racial Traits
If your DM allows, you may replace the Ability Score
Increase trait above with these two alternate racial traits:
Ability Score Increase. Two ability scores of your
choice increase by 1.
Feat. You gain one feat of your choice.
Your DM might also allow you to use racial traits from
another fantasy race, representing your character as fully
human but with unique powers.
Communicating with Teammates
Every character can speak, read, and write at least one
language—but your X.O.E. team doesn’t need to have
languages in common! Rather, members of the X.O.E. use
special equipment (detailed in chapter 4) that allows them to
communicate with other X.O.E. members regardless of their
language. So each player is free to select the languages that
best reflect their character’s life experience without concern
for whether it’ll limit them in communicating with their team.
3. Determine Ability Scores
The standard six abilities provide a quick description of
your physical and mental characteristics:
• Strength, measuring physical power
• Dexterity, measuring agility
• Constitution, measuring endurance
• Intelligence, measuring reasoning and memory
• Wisdom, measuring perception and insight
• Charisma, measuring force of personality
Is your character muscle-bound and sagacious? Brilliant
and charming? Nimble and hardy? Ability scores define
these qualities—they are your essential assets and
weaknesses.
You can generate your ability scores in several different
ways, but we recommend you take the following numbers
and assign them to the abilities as you wish: 15, 14, 13,
12, 10, 8.
4. Choose a Background
Your character’s background reveals what you were doing
prior to your adventures. Backgrounds determine some
of the proficiencies your character starts with and can
help flesh out your backstory. There are ten suggested
backgrounds to choose from.
If you want to customize your background to better fit
your character, first choose two skills. Then choose either
two additional languages, two tool proficiencies, or one
additional language and one tool proficiency.
Artisan
You made your living as a skilled craftsperson. You might
have practiced a formal trade, such as carpentry, or
something more artistic, such as painting.

Oath of Liberty
The Oath of Liberty was born in, rises in, and will die in
bloodshed. Known as freedom fighters, revolutionaries,
and crusaders, these paladins have a sacred duty to
bolster resistances, proclaiming truth against tyrants.
Paladins of the Oath of Liberty wrap themselves in
banners, wear armor stained red with change, and roar
the rallying call: we are here, we are fighting, we are not
forgotten.

Tenets of Liberty
The original tenets of the Oath of Liberty were written
in bloodstained banners and the trembling words of
crusaders fighting for truth and freedom. Many followers
of this Oath believe that liberty comes not with a quiet
hush, but with steel, blood, and unrelenting fire.
Freedom for All. Freedom for some is freedom for
none. It is your sacred calling to ensure that all are given
liberty.
Remember Them. You must be the record-keeper of
those whose histories were lost to oppression, carving
their names and stories into your heart and carrying them
Major Edwin with you always.
Rivera Remain a Beacon. You are the unrelenting voice of
resolve, change, and a better tomorrow. Through your
acts of bravery, compassion, and—when necessary—
judgment, you are the light of hope that the worst parts of
today can change.

Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of Liberty feature
You gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See
the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity
works.
Warcry. As an action, you bellow through the chaos of
a losing battle to save your allies and frighten enemies.
Each fiend, monstrosity, and undead within 30 feet of you
that can hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw. On
a failed save, the creature is turned for 1 minute or until
it takes damage. In addition, you can choose a number of
friendly creatures equal to your proficiency bonus within
30 feet of you that can hear you, increasing their walking
speed by 10 feet for 1 minute.
A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as
far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a
space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For
its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape
from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s
nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.
Bring it Down. When you use your Divine Smite
feature when damaging an object or structure, you can
use your Channel Divinity as a reaction to turn the attack
into a critical hit.
Aura of Endurance
7th-level Oath of Liberty feature
You have seen enough of war to counteract the onslaught.
When you gain this feature, choose one damage type.
You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have
resistance to that damage type while you are not
incapacitated. You can change the damage type whenever
you finish a long rest.
At 18th level, the range of the aura increases to 30 feet.
Unfettered Liberator
15th-level Oath of Liberty feature
You can’t be grappled, paralyzed, restrained, or stunned.
Meliorist Beacon
20th-level Oath of Liberty feature
You are the symbol of freedom to those around you,
glowing with an enriching light, your scars of war
gleaming gold for hope or red for deliverance. You gain
the following benefits for 1 minute.
• The walking speed of any friendly creature that starts its
turn within 30 feet of you increases by 10 feet until the
end of that turn.
• Any friendly creature that starts its turn within 30 feet
of you regains hit points equal to 1d6 + your Charisma
modifier.
• Each of your melee attacks deal extra damage equal to
your Charisma modifier. In addition, when you take the
Attack action with a melee weapon, you can make an
additional melee attack.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until
you finish a long rest.
The Shield of Liberty

Faction. U.S. Army
Born. July 26, 1908, during a scathing heatwave in New York
City, New York.
Origin Story. Major Rivera was born three months after his
parents moved from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Brooklyn, New
York. As a child, he became fascinated with the heroic stories
of the American Revolution against tyranny.
After graduating from college, he joined the U.S. Army as
an officer, where he swore an oath to liberty. Upon taking
his oath, he dreamed of a mysterious benefactor gifting him
Independence, George Washington’s magical sword from the
Revolutionary War, and Lady Liberty’s Shield. When Major
Rivera awoke, to his amazement, the sword and shield were
lying atop his bed! Upon picking up these magical artifacts,
Major Rivera was transformed into the Shield of Liberty,
defender of justice and freedom for all.
With his newfound powers, Albert Einstein and the X.O.E.
recruited him as one of their leading agents. He’s now been
assigned his most important mission yet: lead his fellow
X.O.E. agents to Europe in a heroic attempt to stop the Nazis
at any cost!
Adventure Hook. Major Rivera seeks a powerful ancient grail
hidden deep within Nazi territory. It’s said the grail grants its
bearer eternal youth and bestows magical restorative properties
on them. Major Rivera seeks this grail to cure his mysterious
benefactor of a vile curse. The identity of this benefactor
remains a mystery, as they only visit Major Rivera in his dreams.
Warlock
From the dawn of history through to the present age,
there have been those brave and foolish souls who seek to
contact the Other World. Through congress and contract
with the Beings that dwell there, they access enormous
power, though sometimes at great cost. These people,
often called witches and warlocks, are secretive by nature,
jealously guarding the esoteric knowledge they have
worked so hard to acquire.
Otherworldly Patron: Pan
Your patron is Pan, the ancient and wild god of nature. You
were initiated into the cult of Pan through certain secret
ceremonies, at which time you were also given a pan flute.
The followers of Pan believe in personal freedom, revelry,
and a love for the wilderness.

1st-level Pan feature
Pan grants you the ability to hide from enemy eyes. While
outdoors, you can use an action to become invisible for 10
minutes. While you are invisible, anything you are wearing
or carrying is invisible as long as it is on your person,
you can’t be tracked except by magical means, and leave
behind no tracks or other traces of your passage. The
effect ends if you attack, cast a spell, or go indoors. Once
you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish
a short or long rest.
Pan’s Protective Eidolon
6th-level Pan feature
Pan sends the spirit of a forest creature to protect you
from harm. Only you can see this being, which moves with
you and can take the form of any beast you choose. While
the spirit is present, you are immune to being charmed or
frightened.

In addition, if you are reduced to 0 hit points but not
killed outright, you can use the spirit to absorb the
damage from the attack, reducing you to 1 hit point
instead. Once you use this feature, the spirit disappears
and you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, at
which point the spirit returns.
Pan’s Beguiling Pipes
10th-level Pan feature
You use an action to play a simple tune on your pan flute,
causing all creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you
that can hear you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a
failed save, a target is charmed by you for 1 minute or until
it takes damage. Each target can make another Wisdom
saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the
effect on itself on a success. Once you use this feature, you
can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Pan’s Irresistible Vines
14th-level Pan feature
Pan causes thick entangling vines to burst from the ground
in a 30-foot square starting from a point within 90 feet of
you. These plants turn the ground in the area into difficult
terrain, and disappear 1 minute after being conjured. When
an enemy creature enters the affected area for the first
time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must succeed on
a Strength saving throw or be restrained and incapacitated
by the vines until the start of its next turn.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until
you finish a long rest.
The Witch of K ings Cross
Real Name. Katherine “Kit” Malone
Class. Warlock, Patron of Pan
Nation. Australia
Faction. Night Witches
Born. October 31, 1903, during a violent thunderstorm in
Melbourne, Australia.
Origin Story. Kit was born with an irresistible affinity for art
and the occult. She was expelled from school at age fifteen
for drawing “corrupting images,” so she took her meager
savings and moved to Sydney.
In the infamous district of Kings Cross, she found an
eccentric bohemian scene and finally felt at home. While
making a threadbare living as a painter and model, Kit
became involved in Sydney’s incipient occult movement.
She spent time studying the western esoteric tradition, and
was deeply influenced by the writings of Aleister Crowley,
Britain’s most prominent magician. Kit ultimately became a
devotee of Pan, developing impressive magic powers. She
gained some infamy in Sydney and was known as the “Witch
of Kings Cross.”
Kit moved to England in 1937 to further her learning,
becoming close friends with Aleister Crowley. After the
outbreak of World War II, Winston Churchill contacted
Crowley, asking for names of prominent magicians to help the
Allies. Crowley recommended Kit to him, and so the Witch of
Kings Cross started a new career: fighting Nazis.
Adventure Hook. Kit seeks the legendary Flute of Pan. Allied
intelligence reports that the Organizzazione per la Vigilanza
e la Repressione dell’Antifascismo (OVRA) acquired this
legendary flute and is keeping it in Rome, Italy.
 THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF WAR

T
HE YEAR IS 1942, AND EUROPE IS OVERRUN.
Nazi forces constrict Europe in a choking grip,
bleeding out every last gasp of freedom. Only
the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom stand
as the last bastions of Europe. Count Dracula of
Transylvania has allied himself with Germany,
and his burgeoning forces could tip the scale of war—but
so could the heroes rising from the darkest sieges and
trenches to stand against him and the Axis powers.
As Dracula turns his dreaded hunger toward Moscow,
Europe is suspended on the fulcrum of change—this is
the breath before everything either falls to darkness or is
wrung into bloody victory.
Rumors of vampires, wolf-folk, and others are whispered
in the dark. The creatures in your childhood storybooks
are real—upon which side do they fall?
Albert Einstein is standing up with the Extraordinary
Operations Executive (X.O.E.), a group of elite operatives
tasked with carrying out deadly missions against these
unnatural forces. Acting as strike teams, spies, and
specialists, air-dropped where no soldier can break
through these infernal forces, it falls to the X.O.E. to
ensure that the last bastions of Europe stand and that
good triumphs over evil yet again.

The previous two years have seen the German occupation
of Poland, France, and most of Europe. With speed and
power, the forces crushed the final stand at Lublin,
Poland, and drove France to sign the armistice at the
Forest of Compiègne. Einstein continues to record
eyewitness accounts of the horrors that swept both
nations in under six weeks.
Alongside tanks and firepower come nightmarish
creatures beyond mortal comprehension.
The air is filled with desmodi and incendiary hellbeasts.
The land is being overrun by quasits, ghouls, and ghasts.

INVESTIGATIONS, RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENTS, AND
PRACTICAL USE OF THE DEMONIC RIFT
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS OBTAINED FROM FOUR GERMAN SPECIALISTS: A PHYSICIST, A
RIFT SPECIALIST, AND TWO WARLOCKS. THE PHYSICAL SCIENTIST DETAILED WHAT HE KNEW OF THE DEMONIC
RIFT OPENING.
Dr. A. EDGE, world-renowned German physicist, wrote:
1. At the Institute for Physical Chemistry of the Hamburg University, I worked on problems
concerning temporal rifts under the direction of Prof. Dr. P. Fischer, and engaged
in the investigation of temporal behavior and properties of the so-called temporal
openings. It was with this experience I joined the team at Berlin, spending over a year
within the basement bunker until the portal was stabilized.
2. The rift specialist I understood. The remaining two specialists called themselves
Warlocks; seemingly not experts in science, their research involved chilling scribbles
which seemed to excite the Oberbefehlsleiter. They spoke of strange things, nonsensical
things, until the day the portal opened fully before our eyes.
3. The creature that manifested from the rift was of unearthly color and a monstrous
face; its limbs hulking and covered in spiked protrusions; its claws prominent;
angular leathery wings unfolded from its back; its whole body a freakish marriage of
musculature and sharp spine. While it turned an eyeless face and looked upon me like
some great purveyor of hell, greats horns twisting up over where its infernal gaze
would lie, the warlock laughed in a chilling scrape that joined its japing snarl. “The
desmodus,” he said (I was not surprised he could call it as if a friend), “will darken
Britain’s skies with blood.”

Germany
Fiends and monstrosities are rampant throughout Europe. While Dracula besieges the Soviet
Union, Germany turns its ferocity to the United Kingdom through a fiendish aerial attack known
as the “Infernal Blitz” over the skies of London. Spies report that the Sicherheitsdienst des
Reichsführers-SS are keeping eyes off of REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED
REDACTEDED REDACT. Coordinate forces to investigate.
Last night, a bloody note arrived from a spy in southern Germany bearing only one word: Werwolf.

Italy
Italy will take Corsica with a demonic horde before the week is out. The Vatican is strangled
into neutrality. A coded message from REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED confirms a resistance
movement of demon hunters within the Vatican. If they are caught—exile or death. Still, they
recruit foreign allies.
Refugees huddle in the Colosseum; one eyewitness claims it is defended with the spirits of the

THE EXTRAORDINARY OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE (X.O.E.)
It is assumed that our chief (or only) offensive weapon during the next months will be
the Extraordinary Operations Executive (X.O.E.). The effect of the X.O.E. operation against
Germany can be considerably enhanced if (a) it is planned with not only with a view to
military campaigns and industrial damage, but also to achieving the maximum moralization
of the Allies and their relatives in the armies abroad, and (b) it is accompanied by the
coordination and propaganda necessary to stand united.

United Kingdom
Incendiary demonic assaults seem to double by the day. Crimson paints the skies. The wizard
spymaster Merlin has held it at bay. Radar and scrying are extraordinary successes against the
