BSIT2-MR Rhythmic Activities

What is folk dance?

According to what we discussed in our synchronous lesson in Rhythmic

Activities, folk dance, or folk dances, are traditional dances of a specific nation that
arose naturally and spontaneously in connection with everyday activities and
experiences of the people who formed them.

As a Filipino, what is the importance of folk dance in your life?

According to what I've learned, the relevance of folk dance in our daily
lives and our Filipino identity is that folk dance protects or keeps our Philippine culture
intact by sharing and promoting cultural forms such as dances in order to carry it over to
the next and upcoming generations.

What makes Philippine folk dances unique compared to other countries?

Based on what I've learned in the school and my research, the Philippines' folk
dances are distinct from those of other nations in that they are entertaining, appealing,
and passionate. Also, the originality of the gestures, clothing, and music exposes our
peculiar Filipino culture, which demonstrates our Filipino nationality.
