Introduction
What is green building?

A green building is a building that, in its design,

construction or operation, reduces or eliminates
negative impacts, and can createpositive impacts ,
on our climate and natural environment. Green
buildings preserve precious natural resources and
improve our quality of life.

Characteristics of green building

- Efficient use of energy, water and other
resources
- Use of renewables energy, such as solar
- Pollution and waste reduction measures, and
the enabling of re-use and recycling
- Good indoor environmental air quality
- Use of materials that are non-toxic, ethical
and sustainable
- Consideration of the environment in design,
contruction and operation
- Consideration of the quality of life occupants
in design, contruction and operation
- A design that enables adaptation to a
changing environment

Concept
My green home is a concept whereby a home is
created to use less energy, water and natural
resources, to provide good air quality and
comfort, to generate less wastage, and can be
considered as a sustainable development that
improve the homeowner’s lifestyle.

Features
- Using renewable energy such as solar panel
- Covered the building with some green plant
to absorb carbon dioxide and keep the place
cool
- Use of efficient appliances such as air
conditioner and air purifier to circulate air in
the house
- Use smart water heating system that uses less
electricity

Materials and Costing

 Mounting board = RM4
Ice cream sticks = RM3
Aluminium foil = RM 5
Decoration items = RM 10
Total = RM 22

Advantages of My Green Building

- Reduce or eliminate negative impacts on the

environment in the house
- Family friendly design
- Generates on energy or increase biodiversity
- Cost saving on utility bills
