SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

1. Every team successfully registered for the competition is required to prepare two
Memorandums –
i. Memorandum on behalf of Petitioner
ii. Memorandum on behalf of Respondent
2. Teams must send soft copies of their Memorandums before 11.59 pm on 10th June,
2022 via the link which will be emailed. Delay in submission will lead to negative marking.
Once submitted, the institution reserves all rights on the Memorandum.
3. Each Memorandum must be submitted in (.docx) and (.pdf) format. The name of the
file being the team code allocated and the party whose arguments are presented in the
Memorandum. For instance, the Petitioner Memorandum of Team Code ‘A’ should be
named as ‘A - Petitioner.’
4. All pages of the Memorandum must be in A4 size. The font style and size of the text for
all parts of the Memorandum must be Times New Roman, size: 12, 1.5-line spacing & 1-
inch margin on each side. The footnotes shall be in Times New Roman and the font size
shall be 10 with 1.0 line spacing.
5. Clarification with respect to the proposition and/or rules must be communicated via
the link attached herewith and sent by 30th May 2022-

MEMORANDUM CONTENT
1. The Memorandums must include all the following specifications:
i. Cover Page
ii. Table of Contents
iii. List of Abbreviations
iv. Index of Authorities
v. Statement of Jurisdiction
vi. Statement of Facts (2 pages)
vii. Issues Raised
viii. Summary of Arguments
ix. Arguments Advanced
x. Prayer
xi. Annexures, if any (not mandatory)
2. The Memorandum shall not be of more than forty (40) pages. Note that the Arguments
Advanced shall not exceed more than thirty (30) pages.
3. The citation format must follow the Blue Book (21st Edition) only. The citation format
shall be uniform throughout the Memorandum. Speaking footnotes and endnotes are
not allowed.
4. The Cover Page of the Memorandum must adhere to the following colour scheme:
i. Petitioner –Blue
ii. Respondent –Red
5. The Cover Page must contain the allotted team code in the upper right-hand corner,
followed by the cause title, jurisdiction, and the party whose arguments will be
enumerated.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Every Memorandum will be marked on a scale of 100. For the purpose of calculation, the
average score of both Memorandums (i.e., Petitioner and Respondent) will be the final
score of an individual/team for the purpose of selection.
The Memorandum shall be evaluated according to the following criteria:
