Yesterday i.e. 21.06.2017, the outgoing DGFT declared that at least 3 Export
Promotion Schemes, viz, namely Advance Authroisation, DFIA and EPCG would be
abolished once the GST is implemented. Therefore full duty to be paid under these
Schemes and IGST will be refunded proportionate to exports effected. It is not clear
whether the Basic Duty also will be refunded as the end use of the imported goods
are for export purpose. (paper clipping attached).

Further, the MEIS scrip can only be utilised for debit of Basic Customs Duty and not
IGST.
