Instructions

1. Form a group of three (3) students to work on this assignment. Make sure that each
member of the group contributes significantly to the completion of this assignment.
The cover page should reflect the names, student numbers and signatures of all three
members of the group who had contributed to the assignment. Note: Any assignment
done by more than three group members will not be considered.

2. Use any search engine on the UNAM intranet to find and then download this research
article by Jace Pillay (2011): “Challenges counselors face while practicing in South
African schools: Implications for culturally relevant in-service training .” South African
Journal of Psychology, 41(3), 2011, pp. 351-362.

3. You can consult with the library assistants if you do not know how to access the search
engines, but as a final year student you were supposed (by now) to be familiar with the
process searching and reading research articles.

4. Read the downloaded article with comprehension and then answer (in full) all five
questions that are given at the end of this course outline.

5. Your answers must reflect the standards of a fourth year degree (level 8) - higher levels
of thinking and reasoning. Do not “cut and paste” because that could be considered as
plagiarism and may lead to the assignment being rejected completely.

6. Type your assignment using double spacing, and font 12 of Times New Roman.

7. The assignment must have a cover page that bears your names, student number, course,
date, among others.

8. Submission due date: Friday 23 August 2019
