Instance 1 :

Alstom project : A small misunderstanding broke out b/w Pradeep & GE person. I spoke to
Pradeep to understand the situation & then spoke to the GE person to understand his side of the
story. Pradeep was under pressure internally & GE person had his pressures from his team to get
the project completed.

Step 1 : Thought – Analysed the situation

Step 2 : Emotion – Came to a common understanding of both side of story & gave a solution

Step 3 : Behaviour – helped Pradeep to get his work done without getting involved in other testing

Instance 2 :

LV3 : PRV was not working even after multiple tests & changing the entire component twice. Had a
call with GE team & ramesh started yelling when we will rectify the issue & dispatch the unit.
Took suresh & sushanth in line & explained the scenario. Both gave a suggestion to try testing for
higher pressure.

Step 1 : Thought – Bringing in Suresh & sushanth in discussion

Step 2 : Behaviour – Accepting that there is a problem & we will rectify

Step 3 : Emotion – Relieved that they agreed to that there was an issue & gave time for
rectification.

Instance 3 :

Petrol bunk : Filled petrol & started making the payment through UPI. The payment did not
happen after multiple times. Explained it to the owner that there may be an issue in his network.
Waited for some time & made the payment.

Step 1 : Thought – Tried making payment through different UPI apps

Step 2 : Behaviour – patiently waited to check with the owner

Step 3 : Emotion – made the owner understand & got the payment done where both parties were
happy.

My Belief system

Instances
1. Father’s Death: Was emotionally down, started hating all the relatives for what they did to
my father. Even now when I see them my blood boils. The 1 st emotion that arises is hatred.
I will be emotionally out of control & want to scream at them.

2. Finding job : Initially after completion of M.tech, all my peers found a job in teaching. I
always wanted to work in a corporate world, but was unable to find a job. Went to many
places looking for a job around many industrial areas carrying my resume. It took a major
emotional toll on me since, wherever I submitted my CV the security of the company just
used to tell me to drop in their cabin & go. Never received a call from any of the
companies.

3. Cold room : When I was handling cold room completely, felt helpless that no one was
there to help me execute the projects & I was feeling alone & cornered at all times by ANP
even after achieving my targets. Felt lack of guidance & direction in reaching the goal.
Most of the times my time used to get consumed in handling service calls & silly things for
which I was not responsible even after communicating what was necessary to get the
things done on time. Sometimes I used to answer 15 to 20 calls a day, majority of it was
related to service. After doing all these activities, I was still asked to prove my credibility.
