THIS WEEK

READING This week in Reading, students are deepening their understanding of main characters within stories they read. They will be able to
reread to gain more information about characters by learning about their relationships.

WRITING This week in Writing, students are beginning to use a checklist to set goals for their writing. They will use strategies to introduce
their characters within their realistic fiction stories to help their readers get to know them better.

NUMERACY Students will take the time to participate in various activities that review all concepts that we have learned all year. These skills
include a variety of skip counting patterns (1, 2, 5, 10, etc), defining, comparing, and composing 2D/3D shapes, partitioning shapes
into equal shares, comparing length and weight of objects, analyzing data to answer questions, adding and subtraction fluency,
and identifying place value and using it to add double-digit numbers.

INQUIRY This week the inquirers will be showcasing how they can leave a very positive impact on the world, and help
(SS/SC) spread their positive message on impact.

ART Students will look at famous masterpieces and draw from a keyhole perspective focusing on details and color blends.

MUSIC Students will learn about the original story of the Lorax. They will also celebrate their accomplishment.

PE Students will explore the skill of hand dribbling. While bouncing a ball is an easier skill, dribbling requires some different
technique in order to dribble more than once.
