Finalterm Essay in Environmental Engineering

Natural resources is a Resources that are drawn from nature and that is useful to any aspects and used
with few modifications. These includes the sources of valued characteristics such as commercial and
industrial use, scientific interest, cultural value and aesthetic value. Natural resources are Earth
materials used to support life and meet the needs of people. Any organic material used by humans can
be considered as a natural resource. Natural resources include oil, coal, natural gas, metals, stone, and
sand. Air, sunlight, soil, and water are other natural resources. Natural resources are central to human
wellbeing. We cannot live without the clean air we breathe, the plants we eat, or the water we drink.
We need natural resources to put roofs over our heads and heat our homes. We need them to survive
and to thrive.

Forest Resources is one example of a resources that any living organisms can benefit it protects the
watershed, erosion control, land bank and atmospheric regulation. It also helps for commercial uses,
man depends on a high volume of production of animals and plants for his daily needs, forest supplies
woods to make as papers, newspapers, matches and other things that can be made by wood, plants
prepared for medicines and drugs to make people heal from illness and cure health Issues and also
many forest that will be used for building dams, mining recreation and building subdivisions, houses and
buildings. Also we can get minerals from our resources that we can make use of our daily lives.
We can get much from the natural resources but we have to utilize it so that it won’t run out, when we
do cut trees we have to do reforestation for the trees to grow again, we have to conserve water as much
as we can. We are the responsible of what might the result of what are the actions that we take in
making use of the natural resources because it helps our daily lives and we also have to be responsible
in any aspect so that the natural resources will still grow and the cycle will still the same, we have to
replace what we took, it is a give and take cycle to prevent unnecessary event that nature can give.
So we should have to follow the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in order to prevent the
destruction of our environment it is a tool that improves decision making and ensures that the project
under consideration Is an acceptable option is an acceptable option, it helps to evaluate environmental
impact of proposed developmental projects or programs are visualized clearance accorded after
mitigation strategies are included in the plan. EIA thus proves to be a tool which improves decision
making and ensures that the project under construction environmentally sound and within limits of the
capacity of assimilation and regeneration capacities of the ecosystem. Environmental clearance of
developmental projects is mandatory for the new project. There are also steps and procedures in having
an environmental clearance in order to proceed and if that kind of construction is passed to the EIA
examples of having a clearance are marines and sanctuaries, canals and coastal area.
We are aware that we can have many benefits on this earth that we are living, we can make use of
everything for our daily life and make use on how we can improve our living but we must aware that in
everything that we take there is counter back from the nature that we have to pay if we got abuse, so
that while we are benefiting from the nature we have to put in ming that we have to take care also for it
so that it will not destroy so that is the reason there rules and procedures to follow for us to be guided.
