shoulder-to-shoulder with Vanguard America members, and carrying a
shield bearing the group’s fascist symbol. VA has denied that Fields
was ever a member of their group.
In late August 2017, as Hopper isolated himself from the fallout from
Unite the Right, Rousseau seized the moment. Rather than take over
the troubled Vanguard America name, he opted to rebrand VA’s
“bloodandsoil.org” as the Patriot Front website.” (…interestingly, the

two other men on Saturday in Weatherford, Texas.
Thomas Ryan Rousseau, the founder and leader of the white

nationalist group Patriot Front, was arrested along with
two other men on Saturday in Weatherford, Texas, The
Informant has confirmed.
Deputies with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office arrested

the three on minor charges. Each was accused of criminal
mischief, a misdemeanor, for allegedly putting up stickers
on county property.
One of the arrest reports described the stickers as

displaying the words “Reject Poison” along with “images of
various drugs.” Patriot Front has been known to use similar
stickers in acts of vandalism across the nation.
Rousseau, 21, is a rising, though rarely seen, figure in the

white nationalist movement. He founded Patriot Front a
little more than two years ago while he was still a teenager,
and it has since grown to having a few hundred members
nationwide.
The group hopes one day to carve out an all-white nation

from what it describes as the “bleeding carcass” of the
United States. Deeply racist and antisemitic, it preaches
that only those whose ancestors come from the “European
diaspora” should legally be defined as American.
As its name implies, Patriot Front cloaks itself in red-white-

and-blue patriotism in an effort to soften its toxic racism.
But the group’s own manifesto and the statements of
Rousseau put it squarely in line with other white nationalist
groups in the U.S.
In a podcast interview in December, Rousseau eschewed
such labels. Yet he went on to embrace clear white
nationalist ideas.
“If for whatever reason I was in charge of the United States,

my first priority would be to dissolve as much as I could of
the international boundaries because there is no just way
that the government could rule over so many different
people. I want Americans to have their own state,”
Rousseau said before clarifying what he meant by
“Americans.”
“Obviously, ‘Americans’ are members of the European racial

collective,” he said.
In 2017, Rousseau was a leader of the neo-Nazi

group Vanguard America. He led a contingent of its
members that year during the “Unite the Right” rally in
Charlottesville, Virginia. Among those who marched with
the group and carried a shield with its logo was James Alex
Fields Jr., who drove his car into a crowd of counter-
protestors later that day, killing anti-racist activist Heather
Heyer and injuring many others.
Vanguard America, which is now facing a federal

lawsuit for its role in the violent rally, later said that Fields
was never a member of the group. It eventually disbanded
amid infighting while Rousseau broke away to start Patriot
Front.
The news of Rousseau’s arrest made waves on social media

on Monday after it was rumored that he and the other two
men were arrested for putting up fake “antifa” stickers in
Weatherford. Those rumors proved to be unfounded.
The other men arrested were Cameron Rathan Pruitt, 21, of

Midway, Utah, and Graham Jones Whitson, 29, of
Grapevine, Texas. The arrest reports listed Whitson and
Rousseau as living at the same address in Grapevine.
Jail records in Parker County showed all three men were

held overnight on $500 bond and released the next day.
A message sent to Rousseau on Monday seeking comment

was not returned.

The young man who founded one of the most prolific neo-
Nazi propaganda organizations in the U.S. was arrested
over the weekend by sheriff’s deputies in Parker County,
Texas, for plastering stickers promoting his group on
county property.
Thomas Ryan Rousseau, the 21-year-old founder of the
openly fascist hate group Patriot Front, was arrested along
with two other men in Weatherford for criminal mischief—a
minor misdemeanor—after they allegedly placed stickers on
several signs on the county courthouse lawn.
Deputies also arrested Cameron Rathan Pruitt, 21, of

Midway, Utah, and Graham Jones Whitson, 29, of
Grapevine, Texas. All three were held overnight on $500
bond and released the next day, according to the arrest

Rousseau became a prominent figure in white-nationalist

circles following the Aug. 11-12 “Unite the Right” rally in
Charlottesville, Virginia, at which he marched with a fellow
member of the neo-Nazi group Vanguard America named
James Fields, who later that day rammed his car into a
crowd of counter-protesters and killed a woman named
Heather Heyer. Rousseau formed Patriot Front in late
August 2017 as a spinoff group dedicated to bringing white
nationalists together under an activist banner.
Rousseau announced online that “we are rebranding and

reorganizing as a new entity,” and henceforth be known as
“Patriots Front” (the “s” was dropped in short order). “The
new name was carefully chosen, as it serves several
purposes. It can help inspire sympathy among those more
inclined to fence-sitting, and can easily be used to justify
our worldview,” he wrote.
Rousseau also made it clear that the plan was to translate

online discussion into real-world action, concrete activism:
“You will be expected to work, and work hard to meet the
bar rising,” he wrote. “Inactivity will get you expelled,
unwillingness to work and contribute in any capacity will as
well.”
The “work,” as Patriot Front’s organizing has played out,

has primarily comprised of making their presence felt at
rallies and protests, spreading the word with freeway
banners, and plastering flyers in public locations, where
they are often summarily removed.
Their stark black-and-white posters—featuring a variety of

slogans, including “We Have a Right to Exist,” “Fascism:
The Next Step for America,” “Will Your Speech Be Hate
Speech?,” as well as screeds urging “Patriots” to “reconquer
your birthright,” while others urge “all white Americans” to
“report any and all illegal aliens”—have been either taped
or glued to lampposts, telephone poles, windows, doors,
bulletin boards, and anywhere else they can be seen by the
public. They have especially targeted college campuses.
Patriot Front is notable for its utterly undisguised and

unrepentant fascism. It’s also utterly lacking in the often
juvenile transgressive humor, and use of pop culture and
irony, that are core to much of the appeal of the alt-right
online. Instead, its dead-serious advocacy of white-
supremacist ideology is intended to appeal to a more
militant mindset, an important byproduct of its origins in
the online neo-Nazi community.
Rousseau’s group marched in Washington, D.C., in

February.
To date, Patriot Front appears mainly to be comprised of

small clusters of dedicated neo-Nazis intent on spreading
their fascist gospel to other right-wing extremists,
especially “fence-sitting” alt-righters potentially attracted
to violent street action. It is noteworthy mainly because of
the ease and rapidity with which it has spread to nearly
every corner of the country, and the open appeals to young
white males who are the focus of their recruitment.
On several occasions, Rousseau has attempted to translate

the largely online recruitment efforts into more concrete
expressions of the group’s ideology. Patriot Front first made
its physical presence felt in Houston in late September
2017, when about a dozen members appeared outside a
book fair (that’s TWELVE PEOPLE)and demanded a fight
with antifascist organizers who reportedly were inside
giving a talk. (Rousseau later led a similar protest outside
an Austin bookstore.) In late July 2018, a group of Patriot
Front marchers invaded an “Occupy ICE” protest
encampment and vandalized it.
The most publicized instance of the group’s efforts to

manifest themselves as a real-world white-nationalist
entity occurred in February, when Rousseau led a group of
about 100 members on a march down the Capitol Mall in
Washington, D.C., (see above Article text)that was largely
unannounced. The march had come and gone before local
antifascists could organize a counter-protest.
Afterward, a police spokesperson told WUSA9 reporter Mike

Valerio that no permit had been issued: the 150 or so
marchers had simply shown up at the Lincoln Memorial and
begun marching down the National Mall toward the
Capitol. Metro Police scrambled to create a de facto security
detail, the majority of them bicycle patrol members, “so
officers could keep the peace,” a not-uncommon procedure
in a city that sees protest marches frequently.

The first flyers appeared on November 9, 2016, plastered on

lampposts and in bathroom stalls across Texas State
University. “Now that our man TRUMP is elected and
republicans own both the senate and the house — time to
organize tar & feather VIGILANTE SQUADS and go arrest &
torture those deviant university leaders spouting off all this
Diversity Garbage,” read one. It happened again and again,
not just at Texas State, but also at the University of North
Texas, Rice University, the University of Texas at Dallas and
others: “Look around, white man. Is this the country your
ancestors died for?” “Imagine a Muslim-free America.” “A
Notice To All White Americans: It Is Your Civic Duty To
Report Any and All Illegal Aliens.”
Many of the flyers bore the logo and website of American

Vanguard — a group whose manifesto begins, “White
America is under attack” — or, later, those of a splinter
group called Patriot Front. More than a year after the 2016
election, hateful messages paired with fascist and Nazi
symbols continue popping up on college campuses across
Texas, and administrators are still struggling with how to
respond.
Records obtained by the Observer show how colleges

attempt to balance campus safety, police resources and
free-speech protections as they react to guerilla propaganda
campaigns. Taken together, the hodgepodge of responses
illustrate the outsized disturbance that a group of a few
dozen angry young white men — led by a 19-year-old from
the Dallas suburbs — have caused for Texas colleges.

Patriot Front, a neo-Nazi group led by Coppell native

Thomas Rousseau, came out of a splintering of white
supremacist and alt-right groups in the aftermath of the
“Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville. Rousseau, a then-
lieutenant of American Vanguard, wore the hate group’s
uniform at the rally as he stood alongside James Fields, the
murder suspect who allegedly rammed a vehicle into a
crowd there, killing one and injuring 19.

Two months later, three Texas men linked to Patriot

Front were charged with attempted homicide after an
altercation outside a speech by white supremacist leader
Richard Spencer at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
William and Colton Fears, brothers from Pasadena, Texas,
as well as Tyler Tenbrink of Richmond, Texas, allegedly
yelled “Heil Hitler” at a group of counter-protesters and
Tenbrink fired a gun, police said.
Rousseau was on the FBI’s radar as early as May 2017,

records show, (MORE circular Reporting…)when he was
still attending Coppell High School. In emails to North
Texas campus police departments obtained by the Observer,
a special agent and a domestic terrorism investigator
identified Rousseau and three other white men as having
posted “propaganda posters” with language used by “white
supremacy extremist” groups on Dallas campuses.
In September, Rousseau and other “patriots” carried a giant

banner, “For Race And Nation. Blood and Soil,” to a book
fair in Houston and confronted attendees with homophobic
and racist language. They were kicked off the University of
Texas at Austin campus in November after Rousseau led
a torch-wielding publicity stunt in front of the school’s
iconic tower. In December, the group passed out flyers to
tourists on San Antonio’s River Walk and waved American
and Texas flags in front of the Alamo as Rousseau ranted on
a bullhorn.
Carla Hill, senior researcher for the Anti-Defamation
League (ADL), said her organization has tracked 59
instances in Texas of racist propaganda — the majority
associated with Patriot Front and American Vanguard — in
Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, San Marcos, Tyler,
Wichita Falls and other cities since Trump was elected. She
said more incidents have been reported at Texas State than
any other campus in the state.
Hill said that Patriot Front has about 70 active members

nationwide and a few small clusters scattered across Texas
are responsible for most of the flyers. Most Patriot Front
members, not including Rousseau, wear masks when
demonstrating or posting neo-Nazi flyers and use
pseudonyms online. When contacted by
an Observer reporter seeking comment, Rousseau hung up
as soon as she identified herself.
In one of the few instances in which people posting the neo-

Nazi flyers were caught red-handed, Texas State police —
with the help of student witnesses — detained five white,
nonstudent men who admitted on December 3 to posting
about “30-40 flyers” and two banners on campus, as well as
several other posters at a San Marcos apartment complex,
according to a police report.

Rudy Martinez, the author of a controversial column about
race in the student newspaper. The posters included
Martinez’s face, name, phone number and employer’s
contact information, a tactic known as “doxxing,” and
encouraged people to contact him and his employer.
Police detained, questioned and released the men with a

criminal trespass warning. University spokesperson Matt
Flores said he doesn’t know if officers “were aware” the
posters “referenced a Texas State student,” but that the
police department “typically issues criminal trespass
warnings to individuals who are caught for the first time
violating university policies.”
Texas State has refused to name the men, citing a school

policy to not identify individuals cited with a warning. The
university redacted the men’s names from a release of
public information to the Observer and is seeking a ruling
from the attorney general to keep them private.
The Observer has challenged the appeal.
Tafari Robertson, a public relations senior and activist at

Texas State, likened the refusal to identify or charge the
men to protecting the hate groups. Rebecca Bell-Metereau, a
Texas State English professor, echoed that sentiment. “It
seems that for the safety and security of students on the
Texas State campus, we deserve to know the names of
individuals who are … posting intimidating hate speech on
our campus,” she told the Observer.
At the University of North Texas (UNT), officers struggled

with how to balance campus safety and free-speech
protections.
“We’ve now been out to Wooten [Hall] three times in two
days for the same group’s posters being put up on bulletin
boards,” UNT Patrol Supervisor Lieutenant Jeremy Polk
wrote in a January 2017 email obtained by the Observer.
Polk instructed officers not to respond to similar reports
unless “there is something threatening” and that “public
boards are free speech protected.”
Other schools in Dallas seemed to take a more proactive

approach. The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) deployed
an officer to investigate members of the hate groups that
were seen posting what police internally called “white
supremacists flyers” on campus in surveillance footage. In
an internal email, the investigator identified Brett Sanders,
an American Vanguard member from Frisco, as one of the
men in the surveillance footage, noting that “the header on
his [Facebook] profile page is ‘SMASH CULTURAL
MARXISM’ and his profile photo is of himself in a red
‘Trump’ hat, and he is kissing some type of automatic
weapon.” UTD police then circulated a memo alerting
officers in the area to be on the lookout for Sanders, while
noting that it wasn’t immediately clear if he had committed
a crime.
Similarly, Southern Methodist University publicly

released surveillance video of five men who hung a white
supremacist banner on campus, inviting the Dallas
community to help identify the perpetrators. That
investigation remains open.
In October, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick ordered

senators during the interim to “ascertain any restrictions
on Freedom of Speech rights that Texas students face in
expressing their views on campus” and “recommend policy
changes that protect First Amendment rights and enhance
the free speech environment on campus.” Responding to
Patrick’s call, the Senate Committee on State Affairs is set
to hold a hearing on free speech at Texas State.
The agenda for the Wednesday meeting notes in bolded
letters that “Public testimony will be limited to 2 minutes.”

Update: Vanguard America (VA) splintered shortly after UTR and has shown
very few signs of life in the years that followed. Meanwhile, Patriot Front, the
VA splinter group formed by UTR participant Thomas Rousseau, is one of the
country’s most visible white supremacist groups. In an effort to move away
from VA’s neo-Nazi roots, Patriot Front avoids traditional white supremacist
language and symbols, presenting their blend of white supremacist and neo-
fascist ideology as “patriotism.” In 2020, Patriot Front was responsible for
approximately 80% of the white supremacist propaganda distributions
recorded by ADL’s Center on Extremism.
Vanguard America (VA)
 VA is a white supremacist group that opposes multiculturalism and

believes America should be an exclusively white nation.
 VA spreads their hateful propaganda via the internet and by distributing
fliers, posters, and stickers.
 VA is particularly focused on recruiting young men and has engaged in
outreach efforts to attract students on American college campuses.
 VA has participated in white supremacist rallies and protests around the
country.
 VA members have targeted Jewish institutions with hateful propaganda.
 Infighting has led to the formation of two competing splinter groups,
Patriot Front and the National Socialist Legion.
Vanguard America (VA) is a white supremacist group that opposes

multiculturalism and believes that America should be an exclusively white
nation. Their right-wing nationalist slogan, “Blood and Soil,” romanticizes the
notion that people with “white blood” have a special bond with “American soil.”
This philosophy originated in Germany (as Blut und Boden) and was
popularized by Hitler’s regime. VA uses “For Race and Nation” as an
alternative slogan. Along those lines, the VA manifesto (as of April 2018)
maintains that “The racial stock of this nation was created for white Christian
Anglo/Europeans by white Christian Anglo/Europeans. All other ethnicities,
races, religions and demographics are absolutely not compatible with this
nation’s original culture. With such being stated, a mass exodus, isolation,
apartheid, segregation and/or separation must be implemented to retain the
good order and longevity of the country.”
Originally, VA (then called American Vanguard), was firmly in the alt-right

hemisphere, and focused on white identity. Over time, however, VA has
increasingly embraced a neo-Nazi ideology. In one iteration of their manifesto,
posted in February 2017, the VA explained that America was built on the
foundation of White European culture and that the “glory of the Aryan nation
must be recaptured.” VA has also warned against the influence of “the
international Jew,” tweeting in July 2017, “Those behind the subversive
elements eroding our culture often have something in common. Jewish
influence is prevalent, invasive, dangerous.” This theme is echoed in their
2018 manifesto, which states that “Islam, Judaism and all other non-European
or foreign religions” should not have the freedom to practice in the United
States.
In 2017, VA broadened their ties to the neo-Nazi movement when they
participated in white supremacist rallies in Pikeville, Kentucky (April), and
Shelbyville, Tennessee (October). These events were organized by
the Nationalist Front (NF), an umbrella organization of neo-Nazis, traditional
white supremacists and racist skinheads. VA became a member of the NF
following the April rally.
Organizational structure
Dillon Ulysses Hopper (previously known as Dillon Irizarry), a Marine

Corps veteran from New Mexico, has been leading the group since early
2016. During an April 2017 speech at a private NF gathering in Kentucky,
Irizarry said that VA started in California in 2015. Irizarry also said that the
“future is about the youth” and (for that reason) his group base is 18 to 24
years old. At the time, he also claimed approximately 200 members in 20
states.
VA has some paramilitary characteristics. In states with open carry laws,
members, including Hopper, who uses the title “Commander,” have openly
carried firearms during rallies and protests. The standard uniform for members
consists of khaki pants and a white polo shirt. At several venues, members
have stood and marched in military-style formations, and utilized military
facing movements and rest positions.
Membership is typically male. However, VA does have a women’s division. In

June 2017, VA tweeted, “The woman has her own battlefield. With every child
that she brings into the world, she fights her battle for the nation. Strong
nations grow from strong families. Vanguard America Women’s Division.”
From November 2016 to April 2017, Vanguard America increased its ranks,
and counted active members in Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana,
Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
Diminishing Returns
The group’s high point was June 17, 2017, when several dozen VA members
participated in a “Texas is Ours” rally at the state capital in Austin. Hopper
spoke at the event, and was joined by Thomas Rousseau, the leader of VA’s
Texas chapter. After the event Hopper complained that Rousseau led event
organizers to believe that Rousseau, not Hopper, was VA’s leader, and that
Rousseau’s lengthy speech at the rally further confused people about the
group’s leadership.
A few days after the Austin rally, Rousseau began his takeover of the VA’s
servers and its website. In an exchange that was posted on Twitter, Hopper
detailed Rousseau’s apparent betrayal, writing, “On June 20, Thomas
underhandedly and deceitfully exiled me from all Vanguard discord servers
that HE controlled due to ‘security reasons.’ I logged off…and when I got back
an hour later I was banned from every single server, including the women’s
server. It was literally a coup with the guise that I left to handle family matters.”
Just a few weeks later, with Hopper conspicuously absent, Rousseau led
several dozen Vanguard America Texas members and associates at the
August 12th “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Though
Rousseau led the Unite the Right contingent, it was Hopper who faced
derision in the rally’s aftermath when event images showed James Alex Fields
Jr., who is accused of plowing his car into a group of counter-protesters and
killing Heather Heyer, at the event standing shoulder-to-shoulder with
Vanguard America members, and carrying a shield bearing the group’s fascist
symbol. VA has denied that Fields was ever a member of their group.
In late August 2017, as Hopper isolated himself from the fallout from Unite the
Right, Rousseau seized the moment. Rather than take over the troubled
Vanguard America name, he opted to rebrand VA’s “bloodandsoil.org” as
the Patriot Front website. The move allowed Rousseau’s followers to distance
themselves from both Vanguard America and any association with James
Fields. Ironically, many of those who defected to Rousseau’s Patriot Front
also attended “Unite the Right” under the Vanguard America umbrella.
Following the August split, Patriot Front slowly siphoned away VA members
from other parts of the country, and VA membership and activity dropped off
dramatically. When Hopper spoke at the October 2017 “White Lives Rally” in
Shelbyville he was supported by a crew of just seven VA members.
VA was further diminished in January 2018, when more infighting and
accusations of ineffective leadership led to the formation of a second splinter
group, National Socialist Legion (NSL). NSL is a neo-Nazi group whose
strategy (according to a March 2018 4chan post) is to set up homesteading
cells around the country “for future white migration and eventual white revolt
and secession.”
VA members from Texas and Tennessee played a role in NSL’s creation. As

of April 2018, the ADL has documented NSL activity (mostly in the form of flier
distributions) and identified members in California, Tennessee, Texas,
Indiana, Florida, North Carolina and Colorado.
Activity
Vanguard America is best known for posting white supremacist flyers at

universities across the country throughout the 2016-2017 school year; ADL
counted thirty-two incidents during that time in Arkansas, California, Florida,
Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and Washington. The
group’s campus fliering continued during the 2017-2018 school year, but to a
lesser extent and with a smaller geographical reach: just fourteen incidents in
Arizona, Tennessee, Texas, and Massachusetts.
In addition to distributing racist and anti-Semitic fliers on campus, Vanguard

America has directly targeted Jewish and Hispanic institutions with hateful
propaganda. Incidents include:
 Dallas, Texas, March 3, 2018: Racist, anti-immigration VA fliers were

found at the Casa Guanajuato Community Center.
 Rome, Georgia, October 13, 2017: An anti-Semitic VA flier was posted
at a synagogue: “America will bathe in the light of the black sun! The
tide of Jewish Globalism wanes.”
 Houston, Texas, July 16, 2017: Two synagogues reported anti-Semitic
VA flyers taped to signs, doors and gates on their property.
 Lakewood, New Jersey, July 2, 2017: An anti-Semitic VA banner was
hung at the Holocaust memorial.
 Shreveport, Louisiana, March 11, 2017: VA stickers were reported at
two synagogues.
Vanguard America has also organized small public events and participated in
events organized by other white supremacist groups. These events have
included events focused on the preservation of Confederate monuments, anti-
Muslim protests and events billed as “free speech rallies.” Recent public
activity includes:
 Providence, Rhode Island, January 20, 2018: A VA banner bearing

the words, “feminists deserve the rope” was hung over a nearby
overpass during the Women’s March.
 Toledo, Ohio, December 4, 2017: VA posters were placed over a
Black Lives Matter banner at Toledo University and on the door of the
Lucas County Democratic Party office
 Shelbyville, Tennessee, October 28, 2017: Approximately seven VA
members, led by Hopper, attended a Nationalist Front-organized “White
Lives Matter” rally.
 Charlottesville, Virginia, August 12, 2017: Several dozen VA
members, along with other groups associated with the Nationalist Front,
participated in the Unite the Right rally.
 Austin, Texas, July 16, 2017: VA members waved a “For Race and
Nation” banner from a highway overpass.
 Washington D.C., June 25, 2017: VA members participated in a free
speech rally with Richard Spencer and Identity Evropa.
 Austin, Texas, June 17, 2017: VA members participated in a “Texas is
Ours” rally at the Austin Capitol, along with members of the Daily
Stormer Book Clubs. Speakers included white supremacists Mike
“Enoch” Peinovich, Sacco Vandal, Johnny “Monoxide” Ramondetta and
Robert “Azzmador” Ray.
 Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, June 10, 2017: VA members participated
in an anti-Muslim march.
 Houston, Texas, June 10, 2017: VA members, along with other white
supremacists, protested the removal of the Sam Houston monument.

Patriot Front is a dangerous, white nationalist organization.

It’s leader, Thomas Rousseau, and members advocate for
violence against minorities, women, and other marginalized
people in achieving their goals. Arguably one of the nation’s
most active neo-Nazi cells operating in the United States,
Patriot Front should be taken seriously and all measures
deployed to dismantle it. According to internal Patriot Front
materials we received outlining tactics, strategies, and
various security methods members are required to
undertake, extreme caution should be exercised when
encountering this organization for one’s own safety. Patriot
Front has a specific plan to implement a secret and
exclusive society of white supremacists in an effort to
create a “nation within a nation” and the materials leaked
to us detail exactly how they plan to do that while staying
under the radar.
In this article, we will explore the origins of Patriot Front

and give an exclusive look into Patriot Front headquarters,
including its owner and dangerous, neo-Nazi occupants.

Nazi organization, Vanguard America. Rousseau had led
Vanguard America members at the Unite the Right rally
August 12, 2017 in Charlottesville, VA . Among those present
in the group he led was James Alex Fields who slammed his
vehicle into a crowd of protesters murdering anti-racist
protester Heather Heyer. Fields was convicted and
sentenced to more than 400 years in prison.

Rousseau, fearful about public opinion in the aftermath of

Unite the Right, splintered from Vanguard America, taking
not only his loyal followers with him, but also stealing the
communication platform and website in a virtual coup
d’état. He then rebranded the violent white nationalist
organization as Patriot Front using graphics and colors that
would “inspire sympathy among those more inclined to
fence-sitting, and can be easily justified to our ideaology
[sic] and worldview.”
Patriot Front is one of a number of hate groups that seeks to

appeal to mainstream, patriotic Americans by dressing up
their propaganda and rhetoric in Americana. This allows
them to embrace neo-Nazi ideologies while providing a
cover of plausible deniability. Thomas Rousseau knows he is
a neo-Nazi, and he is trying to control the public
conversation about Patriot Front with careful branding.
PATRIOT FRONT HEADQUARTERS – GRAPEVINE, TEXAS
Just like Patriot Front’s fascist, neo-Nazi agenda is hiding in

plain sight so is their headquarters located in Grapevine,
Texas. Situated in a quaint neighborhood within walking
distance to an elementary school and a lakefront family
park sits a three bedroom, two bath brown brick home built
in 1985. The property has a single detached garage, an
ample-sized backyard where Patriot Front members
occasionally burn trash, a shabby front yard with two large,
overgrown trees, and a lawn in dire need of one of the
current inhabitants’ landscaping skills.

PATRIOT FRONT HATEQUARTERS

BUSINESS ADDRESS
Patriot Front business headquarters is located in a
residential section of Grapevine, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth
suburb) in a property owned by Thomas Rousseau’s father,
Chris Rousseau.
Parked in the driveway is a red Camaro that never moves.

Stored just behind it is a sailboat in disrepair. Just behind
the sailboat is a detached two car garage that has been
converted into a violence training facility. In the early
evening you can hear weights clanking and a heavy bag
being punched. The back wall is decorated with a full-size
Patriot Front flag as a reminder that members are
actually training for a future wharf to hand combat.
Much to the dismay of nearby neighbors, Patriot Front
members often blare loudly hate sounds that the white
supremacists would describe as music while they exercise.
Neighbors know this residential property that sticks out all

too well, and it’s easy to see why they do. After all, the
occupants on Highview Lane in Grapevine, Texas try to hide
their identities by removing their vehicle license
plates when they are parked at the run-down property that
doubles as Patriot Front’s hate headquarters. Patriot Front
also recently requested to have the property blurred on
Google street view which we took the liberty of remedying
above. They also installed a new security system and flood
light mechanism which is a further testament to leader
Thomas Rousseau’s increasing paranoia and inability to
control his most intimate environment.

THOMAS CHRISTOPHER ROUSSEAU
One might not expect that the established, diverse

neighborhood in Grapevine, Texas houses the headquarters
of Patriot Front. In fact, founder and leader Thomas
Rousseau runs the neo-Nazi propaganda wheelhouse
entirely from his father’s house. His father is Thomas
Christopher “Chris” Rousseau, a local sailboat captain
who gives lake excursions starting at $500 per day. Captain
Chris also charters yachts and boats in the Caribbean and
Mediterranean.
Chris Rousseau, the owner of the property and whose own

sailboat sits in the driveway, absolutely cannot miss the
white nationalist agenda of his son, Thomas Rousseau, and
the other tenants.
DEBBIE LYNNE BABB ROUSSEAU
Thomas Rousseau’s parents divorced when he was a toddler

and he was raised by his mother, Debbie Lynne Babb
Rousseau, and older sisters. Debbie now lives in Lewisville,
Texas just minutes from her neo-Nazi son. Rousseau lived a
normal American childhood and doted on his mother who
struggled to raise her children as a single mom. Surely, she
was aware of her son’s increasing online white nationalist
radicalization that culminated in Rousseau traveling over
1,200 miles to help lead the deadly Unite the Right rally in
Charlottesville, VA. After all, the FBI began monitoring
Rousseau when he was still in high school in Coppell, Texas
living with her.

THOMAS RYAN ROUSSEAU
Thomas Ryan Rousseau was born October 20, 1998 to

Thomas Christopher “Chris” Rousseau and Debbie Lynne
Babb Rousseau in Denton County, Texas. His parents
divorced before he reached school age and were married for
less than a decade.
Rousseau lived a typical American childhood, spending time

and vacation with extended family members, as well as his
own nuclear family. He was raised by a single mother who
dated from time to time and his older sisters who he got
along well with, according to his mother.

wrote for the Coppell High School paper, “The Sidekick”.
Rousseau attended Coppell High School where he wrote for
the school’s paper, The Sidekick. This is the time period
where Rousseau’s radicalization into neo-Nazi and white
supremacist ideologies began and is where the young white
supremacist cultivated his propaganda production skills. In
a since removed opinion piece titled, “Trump: The Silent
Majority No Longer Silent,” published just days after the
2016 U.S. presidential election, Rousseau wrote, “The truth
is white voters, especially the working class, have had more
than enough of being called racist, sexist, xenophobic,
islamophobic, homophobic and the rest of the usual trite
buzzwords. … The forgotten majority of the American
electorate has shown that much to the dismay of the
globalist agenda, that they have not yet been replaced by
the tens of millions of blue-voting immigrants from abroad.
That they can still hold up some semblance of a resistance
against the decay of their nation.” Rousseau also showed an
interest in eugenics early on, publishing a “Public Service
Announcement” video when he was 15 years old titled, Gene
Expression in Fish.
An active member and Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 123
out of Flower Mound, Texas, Rousseau attained Eagle
Rank from the Boy Scouts of America on December 8, 2016.
He would go on to lead the group whose member murdered
anti-racist protester Heather Heyer and create the new neo-
Nazi organization, Patriot Front, less than nine months
later. In fact, one could argue that much of Rousseau’s
inspiration for Patriot Front’s white supremacist
propaganda and appearance is taken directly from the Boy
Scouts of America’s marketing assets. Further, Rousseau is
just one of several neo-Nazis who have reached Eagle Rank
with the Boy Scouts of America in recent years. Is Scouting

Since forming Patriot Front, Rousseau, who stands 5’8” and

weighs in at 142 pounds, has planned and led groups of
white nationalists across the nation in attempts to terrorize
minorities, immigrants, Jews, and other often marginalized
people. These futile attempts to scare and hurt others have
been met with resistance, mockery, and the doxxing, firing,
and dehoming of Patriot Front members. On August 2,
2020 three men were arrested after vandalizing Parker
County property on the Courthouse lawn in Weatherford,
Texas. According to arrest reports, one of those arrested
was Rousseau, the leader of Patriot Front. The other two
men arrested were Cameron Rathan Pruitt, 21, of Midway,
Utah and Graham Jones Whitson, 29, of Grapevine, Texas.
Graham listed the same address as Rousseau during the
arrest. Rousseau was so embarrassed about getting arrested
and such a snitch that he denied being a member of Patriot
Front, according to his arrest report. As suspected, he went
from the rabid chihuahua dressed up like Billy Ray Cyrus
character that appears on the organizations propaganda
videos to a scared little snitch when it came down to it. A
week earlier at the Parker County Courthouse, protesters
had demanded the removal of a Confederate statue, which
made global headlines when video surfaced online showing
racist counter-protesters attacking anti-racist protesters
while incompetent local law enforcement refused to
intervene.
KIERAN PATRICK MORRIS
One can learn a lot about others by both observation and

listening. One of Thomas Rousseau’s roommates, Kieran
Patrick Morris who was exposed in 2020 by New York City
Antifa, spoke both frankly and openly about his time in New
York and desire to start a new life in Texas. His fashy
haircut with shaven sides and a fuller top stand out against
his trim figure as he jogs in short-shorts around the block at
Patriot Front hatequarters in Grapevine, Texas. In fact, he’s
often mistaken as a teenager by his neighbors with his
babyface features and straight-legged gait.

“See, not everyone from New York is an asshole,” Kieran

retorts as he quickly flips his brown, badly cut hair back
while leaning against his dark blue Toyota Tacoma,
caressing it like a girlfriend. Of course, Kieran Patrick
Morris is only feigning innocence with his jovial statements
and all-American appearance that he thinks he’s completed
by getting himself a new companion–a very
unfortunate puppy who he not very creatively named
“Tex”. If you didn’t know better, Kieran’s goofball attitude
and inability to keep his mouth shut would be down right
endearing.

As reported by New York City Antifa, before Kieran got

involved in Patriot Front, he joined the notorious online
Nazi forum Iron March and repeatedly messaged Brandon
Russell, the founder of the deadly Nazi group, Atomwaffen
Division (AWD), about joining a New York-based cell of
the Nazi terror organization. AWD members
have murdered at least 5 people in the United States and in
March 2020, five AWD members were arrested for
threatening journalists, the ADL, and people of color. Kieran
and Russell were communicating on encrypted messaging
services days before Russell was arrested on explosives
charges in Florida. In November 2019, Kieran traveled
internationally with other Patriot Front members to
network with European Nazi groups officially endorsed
by Iron March, like Casa Pound in Italy and the Nordic
Resistance Movement (NRM) in Sweden. NRM is
responsible for numerous racist and murderous attacks.
Members were found guilty of bombing refugee centers in
Gothenburg, Sweden.

Since moving to Texas, Morris has updated his vehicle

plates to NNR 4884 (Texas) and added a tonneau-type soft
bed cover to his dark blue 2007 Toyota Tacoma. One reason
he did this could be to hide the loads of trash he fills the
back of his pickup with after sundown.

GRAHAM JONES WHITSON

Also residing at the residential property that houses

arguably the United State’s most active neo-Nazi cell is 29-
year-old Graham Jones Whitson. Whitson was arrested by
Weatherford police in August 2020 when he was caught
along with Thomas Rousseau and Cameron Rathan
Pruitt plastering Parker County property with cheaply-made
Patriot Front stickers. Rousseau, according to the arrest
report, had the stickers on his person and lied to an officer
that he was promoting Patriot Front but was not a member.
Whitson also had the Patriot Front stickers on his person,
and appeared to “encourage” the other subjects as they
placed stickers on various items.

The arrest in Weatherford, Texas wasn’t Whitson’s first

brush with the law. Whitson, a 135 pound man from
Mechanicsville, Maryland, was also arrested, along with
another man, November 12, 2017 by the Calvert County
(Maryland) Sheriffs Department and charged with
possession of a controlled dangerous substance–in this case
LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide)–and litter/dump under
100 pounds. Both men were transported to the Calvert
County Detention Center.
