 Review article of Human Computer Interaction (HCI)

Abstract:
This review article is about the importance human computer interaction in the technology
which is increase tremendously. The goal of HCI is to improve the interaction between users
and computers by making computers more user-friendly and receptive to the user's needs. HCI
is concerned with methodologies and processes for designing interfaces and the methods for
implementing interfaces, developing new interfaces and interaction techniques a long term
goal of HCI is to design systems that minimize the barrier between the human's cognitive model
of what they want to accomplish and the computer's understanding of the user's task.

Introduction:
In every day we interact with many thing like cell phone, TV remote, Ac remote, Keyboard,
Mouse and other devices like ATM, web or mobile application which is part of our life.
Sometimes we take time to understand the design and sometimes we don’t take time it
understands it about poor and good design. Interaction is the connection between the user and
the device or application. Interaction design is concerned with designing interactive products to
support people in their everyday and working lives. Interaction design is now big business every
company wants it now a day.

Importance of human computer interaction:

User interface is one of the most important element of a software, which attract the user
toward the application. Interaction refers to an abstract model by which humans interact with
the computing device and interface is a choice of software .HCI refers to both interaction and
interface. HCI give the idea of user experience UX in which we can improve the computing
devices and application for the user. HCI is a design that should produce a good relation
between the user, the device and the services which is performed by the device in order to
achieve a certain task, both in quality and optimality of the services. In aircraft HCI is needed
because we need good human interaction and clearly describe the functionality of aircraft
software and hardware toward the pilot. HCI is an important factor when designing any of
these systems or interfaces ATM machines, train ticket, hot drinks ,banking
software ,management software ,aircraft and cars. Good use of HCI principles and techniques is
not only important for the user which use your software, but it is very high priority for software
development companies. Develop or improve Safety, Utility, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Usability
and Appeal of systems that include computers. If a software product is unusable, frustration,
bad functionality or interface, no person will use the program by choice, and at the end of
result sales will be negative. If the user cannot understand any functionality, company miss the
important functionality or not user friendly interface that cause may be very high because
computers are used by non-technical people. Toward this end, technologies such as the
graphical user interface, virtual environments, speech recognition, gesture and handwriting
recognition, multimedia presentation, and cognitive models of human learning and
understanding are developed and applied as part of HCI research lab.

The job HCI is designed interactive design for the user in which user can easily understand all
the functionality of the device or software like which button is mostly use, Design UI/UX .jobs of
HCI. User Experience Researcher: identifies user wants or needs through a number of different
qualitative and quantitative methods .Product Designer, Product Manager, Visual Designer, and
User Interface qualitative and quantitative methods, goes from user needs to a product idea
that addresses those needs and also where the most important button place, what the function
must be involve in device or software Engineer. In HCI we identify user wants or needs through

Human computer interaction researches:

Research in human computer interaction (HCI) covers both technological and human behavioral
concerns. The contributions made in HCI research aware to either engineering or the social
sciences. Practical research methods normally used in HCI include formal experiments, field
experiments, field studies, interviews, focus groups, surveys, case studies, diary studies,
ethnography, contextual inquiry, experience sampling, and automated data collection.
