Accomplishment Report

2ND
ANNUAL RESEARCH CONGRESS
SY. 2020 – 2021

“Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to investigate
systematically and truly all that comes under thy observation in life.”

True to the quintessence of his words, Marxus Aurelius, everything in

our lives has basis on Science, from the natural world to man-made
technology. Young children are naturally inquisitive; they explore,
investigate, experiment with, and question their surroundings. Although
attention doesn't automatically lend itself to each relevant piece of
information, we can train our brain to be more proactive. Research is defined
as careful consideration of study regarding a particular concern or problem
using scientific methods. In every generation, the development of life skills
enables students to: discover new ways of thinking and solve problems.
Recognize the consequences of their actions and teach them to accept
responsibility for their actions rather than blaming others. Increase your
confidence in your speaking abilities as well as your ability to collaborate and
cooperate in groups

In connection with research, the 2nd Virtual Annual Research Congress

was held in Sto. Domingo National Trade school on the 25th of June 2021 at
the time of 9:30 AM in the morning to 1:00 PM in the afternoon. Students,
Professors, Judges and researchers participated in the event. Researchers
demonstrate their talent/ability/creativity in research by developing a
research study that will benefit the community and future generations.

The opening ceremony started with the opening remarks conducted by

Ms. Karl Andrea Andasan of STE Grade 10-Einstein, along with the opening
prayer by Mr. Jayce Saludez. The judging panel was also introduced and has
been selected due to their integrity, experience, and in-depth knowledge
about this subject. The inspirational message of Mrs. Shirley H. Catacutan, the
Head Teacher VI of Science Department. Followed by Mrs. Analiza Lazaro,
the Research Adviser for the Research Webinar (Research Proposal) and
presentation of the researchers that will be presented on the Annual Research
Congress. The masters of the ceremony, on behalf of STE Grade 10 - Einstein,
Ms. Kimrian Alcantara and Ed Ronelle Sabino energetically motivated the
teacher and participants and led the Annual Research Congress for the
presentation of each group. The closing ceremony of the Annual Research
Congress was conducted by Mrs. Analiza Lazaro, the Research Adviser..
There were four judges to assess the research presentation of the researchers;
First judge - Master Teacher l, Mrs. Omega Gabato, Second judge - Master
Teacher I, Mrs. Shiela Pascua and the Third judge - Grade 10 STE Class
Adviser, Teacher lll,  Mr. Cristoper Carillo. Four groups from STE Grade 10 -
Einstein participated in the Annual Research Congress to present their study.

Researchers' titles are as follows:

Group 1 - An In Vivo Feasibility Study of the Nutritive Value of Cocos
Nucifera L (Coconut) embryo as a Potential feed supplement on the Growth
Performance and Nutrient Utilization Efficiencies of (African sharptooth
catfish) Clarias gariepinus

Group 2 - Effects of Soil pH Balance on Solanum Lycopersicum Growth,

Regards the Usage of Vermiculture

Group 3 - Evaluation of Organic Fertilizer - Lakatan (Musa Acuminata) and

an Inorganic Fertilizer (Nitrogen based) application to the Growth of Lettuce
(Lacutuca Sativa): A compararive, observational study

Group 4: The Effectivity of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microscarpa) in

Treating White Rust on Hibiscus Leaves Caused By Oomycete - Albugo
candida

Each group presented their research paper to the panelist and to the
audience using the powerpoint presentation they made and their presentation
skills. The judges conducted clear set of questions to the researchers about
their research paper. Afterwards, each research presentation were
congratulated for successfully making their own scientific research paper.
Also, the Research Adviser, Mrs. Analiza Lazaro was also congratulated for
her unending support for the Annual Research Congress and for the
improvement of the researchers in terms of their skills, knowledge and
creativity on making their own research paper.

The Annual Research Congress successfully ended with a satisfied look

on the judges, researchers and professors. They were satisfied with the
concepts and lessons that they have learned in the Annual Research Congress
that will benefit them and the generations for the near future to be a better
individual. The Sto. Domingo National Trade School, proudly say that the 2nd
Annual Research Congress in Junior High school was a huge success for a
