NOTE
The following Boreholes are obtained from the Geotechnical Investigation (GI)
Report (hereby referred as Reference GI Report) of Department of Transportation
North-South Commuter Railway (DOTR-NSCR) Project. Some parts of the
Reference GI Report are intentionally omitted/removed since it will not be used
for this specific project.

The distance of the nearest borehole from the DOTR-NSCR to the proposed
Maynilad Project are more than 150m. After excavation of the proposed locations
of entry/exit pit is completed down to required elevation, the Contractor’s
Geotechnical Engineers shall inspect the actual soil conditions and supplement
the provided reference GI report with a certification that actual site conditions
are consistent with the assumptions, results and recommendations, or amend as
necessary the reference GI report to reflect actual site conditions.
NOTE
The Contractor shall not rely solely on the recommendations found in the
Reference GI Report and is expected to carry-out its own interpretation and
analysis of the factual data (e.g. borehole data and laboratory results) in
developing its bid in relation to the appropriate trenchless equipment and
accessories for the project. Any failure to acquaint itself with all such data and
information shall not relieve the Contractor of its responsibility for properly
estimating the difficulty or cost to successfully complete the Works.

Any deviation on the results of the Contractor’s own geotechnical investigation

conducted during the duration of the project and Reference GI Report issued for
bidding shall not have any cost implication to Maynilad. Also, all cost associated
for Contractor’s own GI shall be deemed included in the bid proposal and shall
not have any cost implication to Maynilad.
