Course Description:

This course will provide an insight into various functions and roles of human resource management,
including staffing, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, employee retention, training and
development, health and safety and motivation. This course will highlight the issues relating to employee
performance and assessment, compensation management and managing employee relations. The
participants will be able to develop knowledge and skills to conduct job interviews, prepare job
descriptions, select and retain best candidates and resolve human resource management issues.

This syllabus contains course outlines for each week. They are subject to change. Any revisions will
be communicated during the course of the semester.
