How they started the Business:

The business I went to is in a local bakery in lumangbayan named RRVA Bakery. The owners of the
business is Alvin Espino along with his partner Ruby, during this survey the owner was in a middle of
work along with his employees so he instructed his partner Ruby to answer the following questions:

1. What inspired your business concept or idea?

The reason Alvin and I picked the idea of making a Bakery was because we have this knowledge
and expertise to baking and we started this kind of business.

2. How did you plan your business?

Again when we realized our abilities to bake we started to plan out carefully, with the help of
my parents along with my family we established this bakery.

3. How long did it take for your business to make profit?

It took very long for us to start our bakery, back when we first started we were around the area
but it wasn’t well known so we had to relocate and establish here, little by little of trials and
hardships in order to make what this business is today.

4. How did you handle expenses in your business?

We had to lessen the maintenance of the bakery, the salary of the employees and manage the
foods and anything that is left will be used for savings.

5. Which characteristics do you search for in new hires?

We find our new hires if they have the characteristic to be trustful, good hearted and complete
proficiency to care with the baked goods and as well to bring good service to the customers.

6. What are the challenges you encounter to your business?

The challenges we handle are the leftover baked goods, as you may not know sometimes there
may be days where there are less customers but we had a lot of baked goods and we wouldn’t
know what to do. Less customers too it is a challenge but eventually it turns around.

7. Do you have any competitors in your business? If you do have a business competitor specify
which business, why and how would you perform?
There may be other nearby bakeries but we don’t get competitive, we just sell our baked goods.

8. How do you let customers know where to buy in your business?

We do have a Facebook page but we just naturally let people circulate the location of our
business.
