1. What did the Prophet (SAW) used to say about character?

Ans. Mohammad (SAW) used to say: “The best among you are those
who have the best character.” (Al Bukhari and Muslim)

2. What did Abdullah bin al-Harith report about the politeness of


Muhammad (SAW)?

Ans. Abdullah bin al-Harith reported that he had never seen a more
polite man than Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It was his usual practice
whenever he met anyone to greet him first. If anyone wanted to talk to
him, he never turned from him until the other person moved away. When
he shook hands with someone he never let go of the others hand until
that person removed his hand.

3. How did he treat his foster mother Sayyedena Ma-Halima (RA.)?

Ans. Once when he was distributing meat among the people, a woman
came to him. Rasulullah showed great respect to her and spread his
cloak for her to sit on it. She his foster Mother Sayyedena Ma Halima
(RA).

4. Write a brief note on the story of Anas (RA), when he received some
task from Prophet (SAW).

Ans. Anas reported, “Once day Allah‟s Messenger sent me to do


something, so I went out and came upon some boys who were playing
in the street and I joined them. All of a sudden Allah‟s Messenger, who
had come up behind me, caught me by the back of my neck with
affection. When I looked at him he was smiling and said did you go
where I ordered you, little Anas ? I replied, „Yes, I am on my way, O
Messenger of Allah. He laughed and did not say anything to me.

5. For whom did the Prophet (SAW) say were the high residential
palaces in paradise whose interior was visible from outside and its
exterior from inside?

Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) said,“They were for those who showed


politeness and gentleness.”

Q.1. What Anas (RA) said about the kindness of the Prophet (SAW) with
him.

Ans. Anas (RA.) said, “I served Rasulullah (SAW) for 10 (ten) years and
he never said to me, „shame‟ or „why did you do that?‟or „Why did you
not do that.‟? Muslim & Abu Dawood.

From this we can understand how kind he was.

Q.2 How many years did the Prophet (SAW) say that the poor will enter
paradise before rich people?

Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) said, “Give good tidings to the poor Muhajireen
that they will enter the gardens of paradise 40 years before the rich
people (Al Tirmidhi)

Q.1.What did the Prophet (SAW) tell to the gardener regarding the man
who took dates from his garden?

Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) looked at the owner of the garden and said: “He
was ignorant, so you should have taught him; he was hungry, so you
should have fed him” Then he returned the man‟s clothes and gave him
sixty sa‟ of wheat from his store. (Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi)

Q.2. How many years poor will go to paradise than rich people?

Ans. Prophet (SAW) said “The poor Muhajirin they will enter the gardens
of paradise forty years before the rich (At Tirmidhi)

Behavior towards to the children


Q.1. What did the Prophet (SAW) say about killing the children?

Ans. On the knowing of the death of some children once during a battle
the Prophet (SAW) said: “Be aware! Do not kill children. Be aware! Do
not kill children. Every soul is born in the nature of Allah.

Q.2. How did the Prophet (SAW) treat the children?

Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) was always very kind to children. It was his
practice when anyone brought the first fruit of the season to give it to the
youngest child in the assembly. He used to kiss children and loved them
very much. Anas (RA) who served him for ten years said “I have never
seen anyone act more kindly toward children than Rasulullah(SAW).

Ans. Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that Prophet (SAW) as saying “He does not belong to us
who does not show mercy to our young ones and respect to our elders.”

Q.4. Who will get shelter under the shade of Allah in the Day of Resurrection?

Ans. Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Rasulullah (SAW) as saying “On the Day of
Resurrection Allah most high will say where are those who love one another for
Mysake? Today I will shelter them in My shade when there is no shade but mine.”

Q.5. To Whom is Allah‟s love due?

Ans. Muad bin Jabal reported Rasulullah (SAW) as saying “Allah Most High has said,
My love is due to those who love one another for My sake, who sit together for My sake,
who visit one another for my sake and who give things (as gifts) to one another for My
sake.

Q.6. How Prophet (SAW) behaved with hypocrites and Jews?

Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) loves all people and treated them with great affection. The
hypocrites and Jews of Madinah always tried their utmost to dishonor him and his
religion and even planned with his enemies to destroy the newly created state in
Madinah and kill its leader, but Rasulullah (SAW) never treated them harshly.

Q.1. What is the meaning of generosity?

Ans. Generosity means willingness and liberality (broad mindedness) in giving


something of one‟s own money, time and effort etc. is called generosity.

Q.2. What are some benefits of generosity?

Ans.1. Allah tells us in the Holy Qur‟an that whatever we give generously, with
the intention of pleasing Him, He will return it.

2. Allah is telling “You spend anything in Allah‟s cause; He will recompense it.
And He is the best of providers.”

3. Upper hand (i.e. the giver) is better than the lower hand (i.e. the receiver).

4. By charity (Sadaqah), wealth will be increased and Interest will decrease in the
wealth.

Q.3. Why did Prophet Muhammad (SAW) go to his house and return
hurriedly?

Ans. A companion asked him why he had left mosque hurriedly. He replied “I left
a piece of gold at home which was given for charity and I disliked letting it remain
overnight in my house, so I bought it to the Masjid to distribute.”

Q.4. What is Sadaqah (Charity)?

Ans. Anything given generously to others with the intention of pleasing Allah is
Sadaqah.
Q.5. Why did Utman (RA.) distribute a camel caravan which was filled with
foodstuff and other goods?

Ans. Utman (RA.) gave all the goods to the starving (hungry) people of Madinah.
He knew that Allah would reward him with something far greater than money.

Q.6. Why do two angels descend every day?

Ans. Everyday two angles descend because one of them says, “O Allah!
Compensate (more) the person who gives (in charity); while the other says, “O
Allah! Destroy the one who withholds.”

Q.7. Who is Hatem Taie and where was he born?

Ans. Hatem was a very famous generous person from history. His full name is
Hatem ibn Abdellah ibn Sa‟ad at Taie. „Taie” it is his tribe‟s name. He was born in
Saudi Arabia in Hai‟l province. His son Adi ibn Hatem (RA) was a (Sahabi)
companion of Prophet (SAW)

Q.8. What was Hatem asked about his generosity and what was his reply?

Ans. Once he was asked: “Have you come across any one more generous than
yourself?” He replied “yes, I have.”

Q.9. Where did Hatem Al Taie find a person more generous than him?

Ans. Hatem al Taie said; I had been travelling in the desert when I came across
a tent. Inside it there was an old lady. She approached and entertained me by
her goat but they had nothing except for that. I realized she was more generous
and munificent than me.

Q.1. To whom did Muhammad (SAW) show hospitality?

Ans. Even before his Prophet Hood, Muhammad (SAW) was known as a
hospitable and generous man. Nobody ever came away from him empty handed.
He used to aid the poor, the needy, widows and orphan. In Madinah, his house
was open to all: rich and poor friend and foe. People used to come in large
numbers and he accommodated them all and served them personally.

Q.2. How did he serve the Christian guest who came from Abyssinia?
Ans. When a Christian deputation came from Abyssinia, he kept them in his
house and served them personally throughout their stay.

Q.3. What was the story of his polytheist guest?

Ans. Once a polytheist was his guest. He drank milk of seven goats, but
Rasulullah (SAW) did not stop him until he was satisfied.

Q.4. Who were the permanent guest of the Muslims?

Ans. The poorest and the most destitute among the companions were Ahl as-
suffah. They were permanent guests of the Muslims. Most of the time, they were
guests of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Q.5. Give a reference from Rsulullah (SAW) about the honour of the guest.

Ans. Abu Hurairah reported that Rasulullah(SAW) said: He who believes in Allah
and the last Day should honour his guest; he who believes in Allah and the last
Day should not annoy (irritate) his neighbor; he who believes in Allah and the last
Day should say what is good or keep quiet.

Q.6. What did the companion ask to Prophet (SAW) about the hospitable
and what did he answer?

Ans. The companion asked , “ How long is good hospitality?” The prophet
answered “A day and a night.” Then he said, “Three days.” After that hospitability
would be considered as charity. (Al Bukhari)

Q.7. How to feed the destitute, orphan and the captive and what did Allah
say in the holy Qur’an regarding this?

Ans. Allah said “And they feed for the love of Allah the destitute, the orphan, the
captive, saying,”we feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire
from you, nor thanks” (76:8-9)

Q.8. Translate the Qur’an verses No-16 Surah No-64 about who is
successful?
Ans. “So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen, obey and spend (in the
way off Allah) it is better for yourselves. And whoever is protected from the
stinginess of his soul It is those who will be the successful.” (64:16)

Q.1. What did Prophet (SAW) say about harshness (roughness)?

Ans. Anas (RA) reported Rasulullah (SAW) as saying, “Harshness does not
come into anything but that it debases (humiliate) it and modesty does not come
into anything but that it adorns (beauty) it”. (AT Tirmidhi)

Q.2. What is the result of modesty and obscenity?

Ans. Imran bin Hossain reported Rasulullah (SAW) as saying, “Modesty is from
faith and faith is in paradise and obscenity is from hard heartedness and hard
heartedness is in Hellfire.”

Q.3. What is the character of Islam?


Ans. Zaid bin Talhah reported Rasulullah (SAW) as saying, “Every religion has a
character and the character of Islam is modesty.” (Ibn Majah)
Q.4. What is the Important of modesty in Islam?
Ans. Rasulullah (SAW) as saying “Modesty is a part of the teaching of the
previous prophets and anyone who lacks it may do whatever he likes.”(Al-
Bukhari)

Q.1. What did prophet (SAW) say on the mount of as Safa with his kinsmen?

Ans. Prophet (SAW) used a code “Yaa Sabaha” very early in the morning on the mount
of as Safa. People were gathered; he addressed them saying “O people of Quraish ! If I
were to tell you that an army was steadily advancing to attack from beyond these hills,
would you believe me”?

Q.2. What did they Quraish reply and what did he warn them?

Ans. They answered with one voice, “yes, we have always found you
honest, sincere and truthfulness.” Then Prophet (SAW) warned them of the
evil consequences of their polytheism. No one paid any heed to his
message. Some of them insulted him including his uncle Abu Lahab, but he
tolerated it and continued his sincere efforts for the good of the people.

Q.3. What was his next technique with the Quraish for preaching Islam?
Ans. Rsulullah (SAW) invited his family and explained the basic principles
of Islam. He said , “My relatives, I have brought something which will bring
prosperity and happiness to you in this world and the next” (Al Bukhari and
Muslim)

Q.4. What was the result of the feast party?

Ans. No one supported him except his cousin, Ali bin Abi Talib who was yet
a boy. But Rasulullah was so sincere in his mission that in spite of ill-
treatment and hostility, he continued his struggle.

Q.5. What was the comments of the chiefs of the Quraish about his
mission?

Ans. One time the chiefs of the Quraish came to him and said, “O
Muhammad (SAW), you have insulted our gods, sown the seeds of
disruption and dispute among us destroyed our solidarity and brought
distress and grief to us all.

Q.6. What was the proposal offered by the chiefs of the Quraish to stop
his mission?

Ans. The chiefs of the Quraish had offered the following things to stop his
mission.

1. If you want wealth we will make you the richest man in the land.
2. If you want power and wealth we will be make you our ruler.
3. If you want a beautiful woman just tells her name and she will be
yours.
4. If you are ailing we can arrange for the best doctor to cure you.”

But you will do one thing that is you will be stop your mission.

Q.7. What did he reply to them against their proposal?

Ans. Rsulullah (SAW) rejected all the materials wealth and worldly honors
offered to him by the Makkan chiefs and he would not compromise with
them on basic principles.
Prophet (SAW) replied to them: “If you place the sun in my right hand and
the moon in my left, and ask me to leave my mission in return, this I will not
do. I shall continue to do my duty as assigned to me by my Lord. (Bukhari
and Muslim)
