Reflective Essay

Living in a world where there are many doubts, not only in the classroom but also outside, is a difficult
situation. I have been exposed to trials in life that I thought would never mean anything to me. My
philosophical views in many things have been vague and uncertain, I wasn’t sure if what I was doing is
right or wrong.
The lecture was an eye-opener for me, it took me a while to understand but I know now that we really
have different philosophical views and what matters is how we deal with the things and the situation
that we are in. I never thought that science was a part of philosophy, but I have understood that
everything in life is related to philosophy. As a teacher, I have cogitated on the topic, and it made me
realize that there are still many things that I do not know about my students, i.e. on how they think, why
they think that way. As a person, it reminded me about conscientization, it has given me the opportunity
to open a wider array of consciousness about my surroundings, especially now that I have learned about
natural philosophy.
Philosophy is indeed all around: it is what we breathe and talk. Living in this world without any
knowledge about it can be misguiding since we all have our own philosophies.
