Thinking how to think, learning how to learn. Metacognition is a skill most people don’t use anymore.

It
is something that they have not used in their own living, especially on their everyday living and
conversation. People are fun of talking to each other, but they do not weigh facts. They only depend on
their opinions and thoughts without listening to arguments. That is one of the reasons why people
should be enlightened on how to think critically.
Critical thinking should always be incorporated in all aspects of the teaching and learning process.
Letting the students understand that they should deepen their understanding through games,
performances, activities is a good start. In the discussions, I have been enlightened that I can use
inductive and deductive reasoning and questioning on my students since logical questions are hifalutin
and the students’ critical thinking can be honed. As a teacher, I have understood the value of refining
the metacognitive skill of the students since they are future professionals; they have the chance to
shape the society to become more advanced. As a person, I have learned and understood that before
speaking, we should be weighing facts. We should not be acting abruptly just because the thought may
have hurt us, we should think first before we speak.
